I want to say a GREAT BIG HUGE THANK YOU to JEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, THank you, THank you!!!! He donated for our walk and I am so very greatful!!! You are the best, Jeff!!!!!

We had a fun weekend. Went scrapbooking Friday night... did not get too much done, was not feeling all that creative :o( and Saturday was a clean things up day. my 3 year old daughter went to an Easter party with my friend Bev and had a great time. She brought home a bunch of candy and a stuffed bunny rabbit. Sunday I went to a Home and Garden party that my best friends Mother in law had. Her sister in law was in town from Iowa.... she is not the best to person to be around... rather annoying to be exact :o) But that is ok. I was with my best friend and Deanna (her sister in law and a friend of mine) that was a most of the day event and then came home and made sugar cookies and oatmeal cookies.... :o) gotta love baking!

We talked to my Father In Law last night and the plans are still on for them to get married on Thursday. :o) I talked to my Step Mother In Law to be for a while and as usual she is just as lovable as ever. :o) I adore her and am very happy for the both of them. My Father in law is a complete nut and I really love him a lot. He is the only one out of my hubbies family that I am close to and trust. On top of the fact that I am his fav daughter in law :o) It sucks that we cannot make it to their wedding, but we are extremely happy for them and wish them the best. When I was talking to Louise (my soon to be step mother in law) she told me that she had found their first marriage license and wedding photos and they are going to have them at the ceremony :o) I think it will be wonderful...
On a sad note my sister in law that has been battling breast cancer is having to undergo a full hysterectomy. Which should happen in the next couple of weeks. She has had a rough couple of years. She had her stomach stapled a couple of years ago and has lost over a 100 lbs, and then the chemo and radiation for her breast cancer and now has to have a hysterctomy.

Hubby and I went to see The Passion of the Christ this evening. I am at a loss for words on how to explain the impact that it had on me. I am unbelievably moved and touched by it. There were several scenes in the movie that I could not watch. I did not even attempt to watch the beating of Christ or the nailing of Christ on the cross. I knew that they would be way more than I could ever handle. I cringed every time I heard a slap of the whips and the nailing of a nail, my hands sweat and the tears flowed. I read the Bible, I know what happens yet to see it, to hear it, even though it was a movie was way more than I can handle. I was tempted more than once to leave, to just get up and GO, but I knew that in the end that it would be the most Glorious thing ever.... and that it was. I was a complete wreck. Hubby and I left the theater and I did not even have words to explain how I felt. Mel Gibson did more than a superb job on the movie. Seeing Mary was so very heartbreaking. To be a mother and see that, to feel that and know that you are completely helpless that it was to be. It was all fortold and knowing that nothing can be done to change it. What Jesus did for us is priceless... there is nothing that will ever compare or even come close. The demons... now there is something... to see them, to know that they are our temptation into sin, ALWAYS there. That we follow temptation so very often and to know that if we are saved that we will be forgiven for that... how very special are we? We are sooo not worthy of such an honor. To know that even Jesus was tempted, but being the perfect being He is that He was able to turn it away. I was extremely touched by the movie, it reminds me of my faith and the graciousness of my God. I know that it was just a movie but it really had a major impact on me. I do not ever want to see the movie again. I believe that that once was all I need to be a permanent reminder of what Jesus did for me.... for all those that will follow Him. I am not trying to be preachy in any way, I just had to get into words the impact that the movie had on me. I have a few questions about the movie, but will save that for another time... right now I am going to go to bed and try and sleep..... I am sure that I will bring it up again... maybe tomorrow when some of the shock of it has worn off.

OK I am not sure how to add the pic to this section so I have added it to my pics... her name is Hannah. She is the first pic. Thanks to everyone for your support!!!!!!!!!
On April 17th my hubby, best friend and I are going to do the TS WALK. TS is Tuberous Sclerosis. The disease is tumors that grow on the vital organs like the brain, liver, etc. It also causes epilepsy and autism. My best friend has a friend that has a daughter with this disease. I am going to have my hubby link up PAYPAL for anyone that is interested in supporting us for this walk. Hannah, the girl with this disease, is a beautiful little girl and we would love to do what we can to help with the research for a cure for this disease. You are more than welcome to Email me and ask any questions. I will try and link a pic of Hannah. I would greatly appreciate your donations!! Hubby and I would like to raise $200 or more for this walk. Thanks!!!!

Our weekend was great. Saturday was a family day and we managed to get a lot done. We got our younger 3 children's haircut and my oldest daughter actually had enough hair to donate to Locks of Love. So we cut it all off :o) It looks great! She loves it and so do I. It is sooo much easier to manage and to take care of. I took pictures of her hair and will upload them to my pics area in just a little while. I am thinking about doing my hair next month... We will see if I have enough nerve to do it :o) Which will take my hair to the middle of my back. So I am ok with it. Hubby is still a little skeptical, but he will be ok with it too :o) Sunday we went to church, finally :o) It was great hubby and I actually got to sit through a service together. The sermon was wonderful and our baby did not have any issues, which was the first time. Hubby and a friend of his has decided to do a Bible study together, which is great since his friend is a "new" Christian. They are going to read the Max Lucado book He Chose the Nails. Which is an INCREDIBLE book. I loved it and know that they are going to really enjoy doing the Bible study that goes with it. Now if I could find one that I want to do.... :o)
Then I went to a Discovery Toys party for a girlfriend of mine that has decided that she wants to start selling the stuff. They have some really great toys and some really cool learning games. Then we went to my parents for dinner.... looks like that is becoming our Sunday night tradition :o) My mom made my favorite Korean meal and the rest of the family had bbq. That was pretty much our weekend.....busy and fun :o)

My hubby is on his way to a job interview.... I hope all goes well!! I will update when I know more. It is supposed to be a 3 hour interview so I will not know anything til about lunch time. :o) Just pray for the best!!!!

My hubby goes to the MJ Morning show website on a regular basis.... well, this morning he saw the most disturbing thing I have ever seen... I am in total shock... WHO would have thought up something so very wrong????? I am in complete shock, I cannot believe that anyone would even do such a thing. Here is the news story that went along with it. It is unbelievable what some people would do to make a buck.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!!!!!

Tuesday, March 16, 2004

Ok, OK... here is something else I just ran across... the OFFICIAL George Bush Blog... It is great!!! I am sooo excited! Oh and do not forget to check out my new side items... aren't they AWESOME???? I love it!! Keep up with how many days til voting and with the latest Bush news!! Could not get any better!
I just remembered something else I wanted to post about..... What is the deal with McDonald's getting rid of the Super size?? Ok, yeah so they CLAIM that it is because people are wanting to eat healthier, trim up, WHATEVER.... soooo instead of super size they will BUY 2 things of fries....which, makes MORE money for McDonalds. YEAH MAKES A LOT OF SENSE... Makes sense that McDonalds has decided that they are going to make MORE money because people are just going to BUY double the fries. Good job McDonalds... introduce Super Sizing things... then take it away... what a way for you to make money. I would like to shake the hand of the person that thought this up. It was probably McDonalds intentions in the first place. Introduce it, make money off it, then take it away and make even MORE money off it.... yep, you have me fooled :oP
Thought that this was hillarious.....stole it from Matt

Political Humor
A teacher in a small Massachusets town asks her class how many of them are John Kerry fans. Not really knowing what a John Kerry fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raise their hands except one boy. The teacher asks Johnny why he has decided to be different. Johnny says, "I'm not a John Kerry fan."

The teacher says, "Why aren't you a John Kerry fan?"

Johnny says, "I'm a George Bush fan."

The teacher asks why he's a George Bush fan. The boy says, "Well, my mom's a George Bush fan and my dad's a George Bush fan, so I'm a George Bush fan!"

The teacher is kind of angry, because, after all, this is Massachusets, so she asks, "What if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?"

Johnny says, "That would make me a John Kerry fan."

I am truly saddened by what happened in Iraq yesterday. How cruel and HORRIBLE these people are. MISSIONARIES for goodness sake!! Doing what they do from the goodness of their hearts, doing God's work and the BASTARDS kill innocent people. It is just so tragic.
Then you get into the fact that Spain is saying they are going to pull their troops from Iraq. They are against the war and want their men out of there... Ok, you pull them then do not expect anything from us... why should we???? Do they not understand the importance of what is going on? The terrorists just struck their country and now they want to pull their army? Here is another story...
Oh and now Saint Louis is the 3rd worst place in the US for Asthma sufferers...

OK, I have added the scrapbooking pages to my scrapbook pic area. I am hoping to start working really hard on this album and get it knocked out quicky. I have really enjoyed finding out about my heritage and love the fact that I am able to do this for my grandparents. I have some very awesome pitures and some even better letters and other misc. stuff that just thrills me :o) I have a baptism record from 1900. How cool is that??? :o) I get rather excited about such awesome stuff!! I am just lucky to be able to have it and get it all together for my grandparents so that it is something that the generations can enjoy and I get the enjoyment of learning all about my family. I love to sit and just listen to the stories my grandparents have to tell. They are beyond memeorable, they are priceless. Ok, enough rambling... time to get dinner goin! Have a great evening all!!! :o)

Oh yeah... and since JEFF has not been blogging lately... we talk, he just does not blog... I will mention his website. He is a great Christian friend that I have talked to for several years... a father figure ( NO offense Jeff) He does insurance and has his own website now... CONGRATS and awesome job to your friend :o)
We had a great time on Saturday night. Hubby and I went to Olive Garden for a nice dinner, just the 2 of us, which does not happen often, and then we went to Floods, a karoake bar, for my friend Bev's birthday. We had a great time, there were about 25 ppl there for her birthday and by the time hubby and I got there Bev was pretty much drunk and so were most of her friends. I took a few pics of the evening they are in my pics area. She had a great time and so did we.
Sunday was a relaxing day, hubby worked at home and I managed to get 5 scrapbooking pages done for my grandparents album. I will take pics of the pages, I just have not done it yet and will post them on the scrapbooking pics area. Then we went to my parents house for dinner. Corned Beef and cabbage :o) I loved it, of course my picky hubby ate before we left, and the kids liked it.
My aunt is out of ICU and in a regular room, she still has the bronchitis and she is still on Iv's and stuff but is in alot better shape then she was. I got to talk to her last night and she sounds a lot better, still coughing a lot but not quite as out of breathe as she was before. Hopefully she will be out soon :o)

Now to start the week.....

Saturday, March 13, 2004

Such is life.... my aunt is in the ICU...she has had bronchitis for about 3 weeks and has not been able to kick it so her doctor decided that it would be better if she went to the hospital to take care of the issue. I love you, aunt Kathy and hope that you are better soon!!!! Grandpa had a good birthday, managed to talk my grandma into going out to lunch with him and had a good time :o) He turned 79 yesterday. I went ahead and went scrapbooking last night, I decided to switch albums again. I have been procrastinating doing my granparents heritage album and it has come to the point that I can no longer procrastinate and just need to get it done. I only managed to get 2 pages done, but I think that they both turned out beautifully. I will upload them to my scrapbooking pic area. I tried to do a layout that I had seen done in a magazine... well, it took me about an 1hour and half to even get it and it still did not turn out the way it did in the magazine so I gave up and did the other page which took me quite a while too... it is simple yet very elegant (blue background white oval paper with a lace trim) ... I love the way it turned out and hope to figure out WHO they are soon :o) I also had trouble finding a saying to go with the other page... and finally settled on a saying from Aristotle (how can you go wrong with Aristotle???) 5 hours to do 2 pages... not bad :o) Oh well... I loved it, had a blast as I always do. The ladies that I scrapbook with are planning another trip to Michigan to a cabin that is a Scrabookers heaven. I am hoping that I can go this year. I would love to do the getaway... they map out the way to get there by what scrapbooking stores are between here and there and take a week and half to do it all.... I am thinking that sounds like my perfect getaway, besides something with my hubby :o)
Tonite hubby and I are going out with our friend Bev... she turns 25 tomorrow and wants to go to a karoake bar so we are going to go have a blast with her.... she has promised to give my hubby a lap dance... I will be sure to take the camera and take lots of pics :o) It will be a great time. I have known Bev all her life and she is a GREAT person that I love very much :o) She's just like a sister, a little crazy but a ton of fun :o) Hopefully we can get up in the morning and make it to church....

Thursday, March 11, 2004

Hey all... want to introduce my Canasta partner in crime and general sh*t distruber... She is new to this so give her some time... but she will get the hang of it quick... WELCOME JOLENE!!! She is witty and fun :o) Everyone give her a big welcome :o)
I dont know what you are getting me in to here . But i am willing to give anything a try..lmao
I also dont know where this will go but oh well it will go somewhere .I Guess ......lmfao
For those of you interested... here is a link to keep up with the guys that are free agents this year and where some of them are going and who is staying.... interesting info for those of us that care about where our fav football players go :o) I am still not quite over the fact that Wistrom is gone and had to share the bad news with a girlfriend of mine who was on vacation when all this happened... her and I are both huge Wistrom fans and since he is gone I had to break her heart like Jeff had to break mine :o) just kidding Jeff... you know you are still my buddy :o)
Don't you just LOVE to be blamed for something that you had NOTHING to do with??? Some people amaze me with what they think. I do not talk to people, I especially do not talk to people that I have no interest in even talking to. They should not flatter themselves by thinking that I think about them... I don't. Some of them need to be institutionalized, others need to learn to get their facts straight and grow up. Let me tell you... I just LOVE to sit around and gossip about people that I do not talk to, about people that I do not give a shit about.... after all that is all I have to do in life... I do not have anything else going on that I have time to sit around thinking of ways to gossip about others... yup... thats me. UGH. I have to say that I am sorry that I was ever involved with this person. I should have known better and should have taken the advice of my friends. A lot of people do not like this person and told me that.... I gave it the benefit of the doubt and now I am paying for it. Oh, well... I guess live and learn huh??? I do not make that mistake often, and guarantee that I will listen to my friends more often about things like that. You friends KNOW who you are... so right now let me say... YOU WERE RIGHT... now give me the I TOLD YOU SO speech :o) Oh, well... I am done. NOT worth wasting my time on :o) Thank you for the info, my friend :o)

I have seen a pic of my best friends peanut... if you would like to see the little one...click here!! it is on her hubbies website.

Another note.. if you would like to see Geoff's latest rant it is here and here... poor guy always gets himself into a heated debate :o) Though I have to say I agree with Geoff totally. Our country is going to hell in a handbasket and he has an extraodinary way of putting his thoughts down :o)

Here is another something that I recieved in an Email that some of you may agree with.... Thanks George!!!!

FAMILY

"The institution of marriage has suffered enough with
the rise of divorce in recent decades. One of the
reasons many couples live together first, often never
marrying, is because they come from broken homes in
the first place. Based on that, they are forever
gun-shy of marriage, expecting disaster to appear in
their own relationships. This is sadly a
self-fulfilling prophecy and the sins of the parents
really are visited upon the children. Granted every
relationship goes through a rough patch, maybe
several, but those parents who stick together are
setting a positive example for their children. Give
same-sex couples the 'right' to marry and we can
expect some severe consequences. For one, the concept
of faithfulness to one's spouse will be further
undermined given that many so-called committed
homosexual partners have a high rate of multiple
sexual partners outside their relationship. Don't
expect a civil union or marriage certificate to change
this.

Society has paid the price for decades of flimsy
divorce laws. There is growing a growing school of
thought among social scientists that the separation of
young boys from their fathers may be adding to the
rise of homosexuality in our country. ...All it takes
now to drive the stake through the heart of
traditional marriage is to legalize homosexual unions.
No one, including those homosexuals pointing fingers
at heterosexual divorce rates, should believe the
sincerity of their aims."

Subject: US Bill of Non-Rights

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I:

You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II:

You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinon, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III:

You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; don't expect the manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV:

You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V:

You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI:

You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII:

You do not have the right to the the possesions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have
the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII:

You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training

ARTICLE IX:

You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights

ARTICLE X:

This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from.

(lastly....)

ARTICLE XI:

You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!

Yesterday my hubby decided to call his dad... which does not happen very often. Well, turns out that my Father in Law is getting married again!!!! He is getting married to his 2 ex-wife. I am actually VERY excited for him!!! I LOVE the ex-step-MIL a lot and think that she is an exceptional person. We worked for the same company when we lived there and always got a long great. She is a wonderful woman and I am very happy for them both!!! The funny thing is, they are getting married on April Fool's Day :o) So, looks like we are going to be making a trip to Oklahoma sooner than thought we were going too :o) This is the 5th marriage for my father in law. He is re-marrying his second ex-wife. This is her second marriage... she never did marry again after my FIL left her and now they are back together... how strange is that? Oh, well... Congrats to both of you... and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your lives together!!!!

Things have been fairly quiet around here. This last weekend was wonderful. We had the house opened up, the kids outside. Played football with our kids and some of the kids from the neighborhood. Went scrapbooking Friday night with my same group of ppl. Went to IHOP for dinner since it is lent and Leah cannot have meat.
I have mentioned a website called myspace before...well, I joined it so that my friend Andy and I could stay in touch through there.... I have really enjoyed talking with him through this website and was not expecting to meet other people through there. It is a very interesting place to go to. I have met several people through this thing. Some are very peculiar, but fun. It is always cool to meet new people in new places :o) It seems a lot of people are looking for relationships through this thing. Of course I am not looking for anything since I am happily married, but I do enjoy meeting new people.
Jeff, the friend of mine that is SUPPOSED to be posting on here is going to Romania this summer for a mission trip!! WHOO HOOO for you!!! I am so excited. I would LOVE to do mission trips and hope that I get the opportunity to do so when my kids are out of the house. He has been several places and really loves it. I think that I would have a great time doing that too. My ex-step-MIL went to Bulgaria a few yrs back and had a great time.
Hubby talked to one of his friends from his hometown this past week and she told him about his high school reunion coming up this year... he does not really want to go... I would LOVE to go to his high school reunion. Some of his friends do not like me in the least little bit (the feeling is mutual) they think that I am a stuck up snob and I think they need to get their heads out of their asses and quit acting like they are still in high school. I am not one that tolerates ppl that think that drinking and doing drugs is better than taking care of their children... I do not agree with it and generally do not keep my mouth shut about such things. I do not like drugs, have NEVER done them, do not want to be around them etc. So, I guess if you want to call me snobby for that, I am fine with that. I personally do not care what people think of me. So most of his friends have issues with the fact that I think that they act like they are still in high school and should grow up. Which is fine with me :o) It would be interesting to go to his high school reunion and see some of these people. I do like some of them, and enjoy being around them and it would be nice to just getaway for his reunion. Mine is next year and I think that I would like to go to mine too. I talk to most of the people that I want to talk to but would love to catch up with some of the others that I have not seen in years. We still have time for mine. :o) I am just hoping that my hubby will decide that he wants to go to his. :o)
