Things are pretty calm around here so I have not really had anything to write about. Hubby is off to CA for 3 days on a business trip, so lucky me gets to be home with our kiddos for that time. The weekend was a quiet one. My older daughter spent the night with a friend and my oldest went to a Bible study with one of his friends. Sunday was a get hubby packed and ready to go day, so much fun. :o)
My best friend signed a contract on a house, her and her hubby have finally found a place, it is being built and should be done in about 4-6 months. Hubby and I have also talked about moving. He works about 45 miles from home now and it sucks having to travel that everyday so we have talked about moving out towards his work... which would not be too bad, just gives me hives thinking about moving again though :o)
The only other thing I can really think of is the youngest is in potty training mode. Which is NICE. To not have to deal with diapers...WOW, just the THOUGHT... I cannot remember the last time there were NO diapers or pull-ups in my life...
Oh, and Kris and I have a new girls day planned!! It is soo hard for the 2 of us to get together, but it is always awesome when we can. We are going to get makeovers and our pictures done in a couple of weekends. So that should be a lot of fun. I generally do not do much with myself. Rarely ever wear makeup and dont really mess with my hair so it will be fun to be a GIRLY GIRL for a day :o) Hubby prefers it when I DONT wear makeup so I tend to go without it. There are a few occasions I will wear a little but its only a couple times a year.

Friday night my parents came over and we had a birthday party for my hubby and my mom. It was just a small deal. We grilled steaks, had shrimp, salmon, and the fixings and a birthday cake. We got my mom a pedicure and manicure for her birthday. She loves to be pampered so I thought it would be an awesome gift. That evening my sister in law and her son came into town from Tulsa. Which is a FIRST, my mother in law has visited a couple of times, but we have NEVER had any of my hubbies siblings come visit in the 9 yrs we have been together. It was a nice visit. I took my sister in law with me scrapbooking on Saturday, hubby and my brother watched SIX kids while we were gone. My house was still standing when we got home :o) Then on Sunday we took them to the zoo and to the Arch. It was an absolutely beautiful day to go to the zoo. We vegged last night and she left just a little while ago. It was a great visit. That has been my life in a nutshell. Busy, busy and even more busy.
A couple of weekends ago Kris and I went to get pedicures we were going to go out to dinner but I ended up having to come home so we are going to have to reschedule our next outing. She is an awesome person to hang out with and we always have a lot of fun. With both of our hectic lives its nice to be able to get together once in a while and bitch about our hubbies and children :o)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!

Do you ever wonder why certain things happen? I know I do. My best friend lost her baby. This is her 3rd misscarriage and I just dont get it. I do not get why someone that would make such a wonderful mother would not be able to stay pregnant when there are so many out there that do not even deserve to have children and so many more that KILL their babies. She is married, has a wonderful husband and is perfectly capable of caring for a child or lots of children. She seems to be taking it well. They are going to go see a specialist next time and try and figure out what is going on. There have been talks of me carrying a baby for them. Which I am perfectly capable of doing and willing to do. They will talk to a specialist before it gets to that point. But who knows. I believe everything happens for a reason, and whether they have their own children or adopt a child somewhere down the line I wish them both the best with the least amount of heartache.
Things have been really busy around here, the company my hubby merged with is moving into their office space and its been a rather time consuming process. LOTS of wiring for those computer geeks, so LOTS of hours working on getting their space ready for operation on Monday. But it looks like everything will be done on time. My daughter has a birthday today, and I am GOING OUT TONITE!!!! Thank God. I need a night out, its been a while. Kris, Tracy, and I are going to get pedicures, coffee and do whatever else we can think of to keep us out :o) Its been a while since I have seen Kris, we have talked, just not been able to get together to actually do something. And Tracy and I get along great so it will be wonderful to see her again too. Tomorrow of course is Super Bowl Sunday and we will be having a few ppl over to watch the game with us, not that we care about either of the teams.
Valentines Day is just 9 days away, hubby and I have no plans, he got an XM radio for the car and a really awesome model of the space shuttle for his birthday/Valentines day. and I got my book!!!!! I have wanted this book for quite some time and hubby got it for me :o) Everything is already here, so we already have our gifts, neither of us are good at waiting, so its easiest to just give it on whatever day we get it. Hubby has been researching radios for some time and is excited to get the XM radio. Some Alpine thing, whatever he wanted. His space shuttle was something else he has really wanted, he had a smaller one before and it broke, so it was time for a new one. This one is HUGE and is handcrafted from mahogany. We have bought several things from this company and have been extremely pleased with everything we have bought. Its called Pacific Aircraft. I would love to pass on business to them if I can since we have been so happy with their work. We bought a plane that my grandpa flew in the 1940s, we have bought several plaques, a NASA one and a one of the NASA mission ones that my hubby worked. I will eventually get the piggyback one for hubby, but they are a little expensive so that will be another present :o) Anyways, that is the extent of life around here... Have a great weekend!!!
