OK, so I have been informed by blogger that my blog is considered a SPAM blog and they have blocked me from blogging til they figure out that I am NOT a spam blog. Thank you very much! Blah, blah, blah! I am actually able to sit and blog for a few moments and am told that I can save it but cannot publish it til they are certain that I am not a spammer... freakin spammers!!
Oh, well.... This past weekend was a fun one for me. I got to scrapbook all day Saturday and then went to an Arbonne party at my girlfriend Deanna's. I managed to finish 16 pages and I also organized my pictures so I know what I have and what I have to do... Which is a lot since there are about 23,000 pictures on our computer!! Luckily I can organize my pages really easily and can bounce around on whatever I want to do. Last time I worked on 2006 pictures, this time I worked on pictures from 2000. I think I get a lot more done when I do whatever inspires me to do.
At the Arbonne party I got a nice face cleansing and while I was there I won the prize of Sea Salt Scrub and lotion. I also signed up to host a party, *sucker* written on my head, so I will do that next month! :o) But regardless it was a fun time!
This week is a really busy one, both of the girls have Girl Scouts, I have volleyball, 2 of the other kids have a dentist appointment, and my older daughter starts batting cages this weekend. That should be interesting!! She has never swung a bat to my knowledge and to have a ball come at her will be very interesting to see!
Well, off to feed the children so we can get going to Girl Scouts!!

Again, I have been horrible at posting. I have actually been "WORKING"!! My dad asked me to come help him out at his store, so being the good daughter, I have been going over there working on his books. Should be interesting to see how it all turns out!!
Saturday was Cecilia's 1st birthday!!! I cannot believe it has actually been a year since she spent so much time in the hospital and had so many struggles!! She is still itty bitty but she is soo sweet! There were probably 80 people at the party and she seemed to really enjoy everything. After the party we went back to my parents and we had a birthday party for my hubby and my mom. I made dinner for everyone and that was about the extent of our weekend. All the kids were home on Monday so it was my day to catch up on cleaning house and getting them ready for school.
Last night was the first time us moms were able to play volleyball. There were 5 of us who showed up and I have to say I really enjoyed it!! My arms are nice and bruised from hitting the ball with my arms and not my hands, but an hour and a half of exercise was awesome! Ok, well I have to get my son off to school and get going! Hope everyone is doing great out there!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Now, I have to get ready to take my daughter to the doctor for her pink eye... *sigh* It NEVER ends!!

Everyone ready for Valentine's Day? Valentine's Day to me is one of those "have to" days so I really do not care about it. I hate battling crowds of people waiting at restaurants and the cliche of flowers and candy. Plus my daughter has a Girl Scout meeting! I always get a little something for the kiddos. I normally get something for the hubby but have no idea what to get him this year so my present to him will have to be late! Plus his birthday is the day AFTER Valentine's day so I have no clue whatsoever to get him!! He is one of those guys that goes out and buys what he wants when he wants it and I am almost always at a loss of what to get him.
It is really snowing out today so the kids are home on a snow day. They were excited about today but really want to have school tomorrow since its supposed to be their Valentine party. We are supposed to get 2-4 inches so I highly doubt they will have school. There are lots of hilly roads in our area and they are generally the last to be cleared.
Well, my daughter had her last basketball game at 8 freakin o'clock in the morning this past Saturday and they lost 18-2. Which is not too bad, they actually held the other team to under 20 points, which was a first for the season! There were only 6 girls there so that also meant that they had to play most of the game, which is something our girls do not do!! Come the second half of the game our girls really are not interested in playing, so the fact that most of the girls had to play the whole game with basically no break they did very well. Our daughter did very well and was very aggressive. It was great to see her play defensively!! She had that ball and was not willing to give it up to the other team at all!! There is going to be a basketball clinic this summer so I am sure they will do that and then hopefully the girls will play together next year!!
Baseball/Softball starts in April for the older 2 kiddos so I am sure there will be a lot more to talk about come that time!! Hope everyone is staying nice and warm!! I heard on the news that New Yorkers got 143 inches of snow!! YIKES!!! You all can keep all that snow!! Stay safe all!

Ok, so I really just cannot believe this story. I thought Koreans held grudges for a long time... well, I have to say they do not hold grudges near as long as black people!!
I am not racist, but this just really pisses me off!! I was watching the news the other day and this tart (damn democrats!) thinks that the State of Missouri should offer a formal apology for slavery. OK, wait, WHAT??? The State of Missouri should offer an apology for something that happened over 140 years ago to people that are not even alive or even the people that had slaves...
The ONLY thing I am sorry for is the fact that f*cking people cannot get over it!! It did not happen to you!! Hell, it did not even happen to your parents or your grandparents. Lets bitch about something that old??? Good grief, shut the fu*k up and get the f*ck over it!!! Yeah, so I don't care, why should I?? Me, my parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents were not the ones that had slaves. Our family DID own slaves, OVER 140 YEARS AGO!!! But guess what, it had NOTHING to do with me or any of the people that I knew so NO, I do not think that you need a freaking apology!!! If you would like to dig up my ancestors and ask whats left of them to apologize, then have at it. But as far as an apology from a state that has changed so much and no one is even alive from that era to offer an apology, why ask for it??
*SIGH* Ok, I am breathing normal again. I was just so pissed about that stupid news story.
While I am at the news stories I might as well comment on the Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby thing. I feel so very badly for those boys and cannot believe that Hornbeck's family actually took him to the Opera show right after he came home from being gone and had gone through what he had to go through with that monster, Devlin. They say that there are 71 more accounts against Devlin with more to come. 69 of them accounts of Sodomy against the boys. I just hope that those poor boys can get their lives back to some sort of normalcy. That they get the help that they need and will get the love and attention that they need from their families.
Oh and one not so nice comment, the kid that gave the tip in finding the boys... THANKS for the comment of git-r-done as a way to represent. We greatly appreciate the fact that you make us Missourians look like back wood hicks.

I actually thought about posting last week, then out of laziness and sadness just didn't. We lost our great dane last Tuesday to bloat and it completely devastated us. There is a high risk in big dogs to get this and our baby was one of them. There are 3 phases to it and Titan just went straight into the 3rd phase with no warning of the first 2 phases. He was fine all day and then that night our son told us he was trying to throw up but couldn't so we got him and his belly was really bloated. Hubby took him to the emergency vet and they did xrays and tests and it was just too bad. His stomach had really twisted badly and it was already dying. We ended up having to make the hardest decision to put him down. I cried so hard that night. I could not believe we lost our baby. I had heard of bloat before and we did what we could to prevent him from getting it. He ate several times a day and he was always a gassy animal! He had the obnoxious habit of eating then coming to wherever you were and burped at you. Which is actually a good thing. Means the gas is not building up in their tummy.
I was at home when hubby called and said there was only a small chance that he would make it and what should we do. So we made the horrible decision to have him put down. My hubby was there holding him when it happened. I was at home with the kids and could not make it up there to be with him and decided that I did not want to keep him alive and in pain to wait for me to get there so I stayed home and bawled my eyes out.
We did not tell the kids in the morning since they had to go to school but waited til that night to tell them. They were all devastated also. He was such an awesome dog. He spent time with all the kids, but was really my youngest sons dog. He did not really understand but is upset that he does not have his dog. We did decide to have him cremated and will get his remains back. The kids are going to pick out what we are going to keep him in and we will have him with us always. I think we may do a decoupage of pics of him and the kids on whatever container we can find, so that way they have happy memories of their puppy.
I am not sure that I mentioned that we got rid of our Jack Russell we had, but we gave her to someone who really wanted another one. She has one and used to have 3 but got divorced and he got 2 and she got 1 so she really wanted another one and I was really just tired of dealing with a dog that ran out the door every time I opened it so it was the perfect solution. The kids were a little upset but really knew that she was going to be better off.
We did find another puppy this past weekend and decided to get him. It is another Great Dane, but we decided that we were going to do a different color and do one with cropped ears. So we got a fawn (Scooby Doo) with the ears that will stick up. We (I) decided on the name Apollo for this one. The other names I really liked ( Socrates & Archimedes) were just too hard for the kids to say so we decided Apollo was the best one. I wanted to stay with Greek Mythology and I really think that it is the perfect name. He is 9 weeks old and is already 30 lbs. He is doing great and the whole family has really taken to him. He is doing great with potty training and is adjusting well to all the kids! I will have to get a pic of him up soon.
The weekend was a fairly quiet one. Our daughter had a basketball game on Saturday along with pictures. They FINALLY scored their first point!! It was just the one basket, but they were ecstatic. They lost, but they played well. They were aggressive and prevented a lot of baskets from the other team and really seemed to have a good time this week. Too bad its the end of the season!! But I think overall it was a great experience. They are just a bunch of girlie girls and basketball is just something that they did cuz it was the whole group of them and I think that they had fun just being together. They are never upset that they lose, so that is a positive thing! I think that they would be much happier painting nails and being girls! They do want to do it again next year though. There is actually going to be a basketball clinic that they can do this Summer and they all want to do it, so maybe that will be what the girls need to learn how to play!
I had a stomach bug on Sunday and was sick all day so we did not do anything for the Super Bowl. We were supposed to get together with my family but called it off since I was feeling so bad. We were rooting for the Bears and were disappointed that they lost but enjoyed the game! Sucks that football is over though! I think my favorite Super Bowl commercial was the Bud one with the squirrel. The Federline commercial was a close second.
