Our trip to Dallas was a good one. We got to say our final good bye to granny. Plus, we got closer to some of my hubbies side of the family that we are not close to at all. His sister and our nephew rode down to Dallas with us. She also brought her little dog. We left at 5 in the evening on Friday and got there at 5 in the morning on Saturday. We just took the youngest of our kiddos with us and he did WONDERFUL. Did not complain and was a happy camper on the ride down and home. We sat by granny's bedside, got to talk to her and just be with her. She quit eating the day before and did not eat or drink anything the whole time we were there. We left on Monday and there really was no change in granny. She hung on til this last Friday and passed away around 1 in the morning. Which is a blessing that she did not pass away on Thanksgiving. CLOSE but she didnt. My hubbies grandpa passed away on Thanksgiving and my mother in law was scared that her mother would do the same, but thank goodness she didnt. Granny went 8 days with no food or water. Which according to hospice is the longest of any of their patiences they have ever had.
We got to visit with a lot of hubbies family while we were there. Ryan, Angela, Rich, Jeanne, Trish and Phillip and of course my mother in law, Jim and Beau were all there. My brother in law did a lot of growing up in the last year and is a wonderful guy. I have a lot of pictures from our trip. We also stopped by my father in laws on our way home, since we had to drop my sister in law off anyways.
That was our trip in a nutshell. Nothing exciting, just being with granny and family.
We love you granny and we will miss you!!!!
