I have pretty much moved to my new location. I decided that I wanted to start a family blog and hoped to get the family involved so that we could all keep in touch but so far it has been me doing it all, which is fine too :o) HERE is the link to my new blog. I will probably get rid of this one all together at some point but for now I will just leave it.
We are all moved in and our new house is wonderful! We have had a great time decorating it and have finished off a few of the rooms as far as the stuff on the walls go. We found some great pictures for the dining room and it looks great. I wanted to do scenes from around the USA and mainly stuck with NY and MO. I have 2 amazing pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge and a print of Grand Central Station from 1939 that I just adore. There are a couple of pictures of wooden bridges that are just so beautiful and also a picture of a cathedral ceiling that is awesome. Then 2 pictures of the Arch, one that we got from family and the other one hubby took! The living room has turned out beautifully. We have a lot of pictures of the kids up on the walls and I just LOVE it!! There are still a few other things that I want to do but other than that it is excellent! The kitchen is also coming along wonderfully. We have found some really awesome pots that I have up on top of the cabinets. We are going to hang grapes out of them and also have ivy up there. We have 3 awesome pictures up on the wall. All bistro themed. There are still several things to do in there but it is coming along!

My new furniture will be in my new house in less than 6 hours!!! WHOHOOO ME!!!! I am really very excited that my new furniture is going to be here and it will feel like we have finally fully moved in! We are moved in and our house is fully functioning but the new living room furniture will be awesome!
I think I am going to start a family blog. I feel that our family has finally gotten to the point that I want to have something for all of us. I can share it with the family and it can be something that we can share and talk about with everyone. Most everyone in our families have web access so it would be a great way to share family pics and stories and going ons with everyone. We have so many pictures of the kids that I really want to start something like that. Each week we have a lot going on and it is hard for the family to keep up with all the things we do.
The kids kept us busy all last week. We had ball game after ball game. Cody's team won a game and lost a game. Victoria's team lost but they made one heck of an effort. We have pictures of the games that I need to get up on the web. We also had the stomach flu last week so a few of us were down for the count. My younger daughter had it really bad and we ended up taking her to the hospital. She said that her chest was hurting and and she could not breath. It ended up being reflux and her and I sat at the hospital til 4:30 in the morning. They ended up giving her 1 liter of fluids to get her to go to the bathroom and get her hydrated again.
As far as the Soprano's go, I was pissed at first with the lack of closure, but after thinking about it it was ingenious. The artistic side of me loved it, the anal side of me hates that there was no closure. I do not want to interpret it myself yet, I want to believe that Tony is not dead and do not want to conclude that he is dead or his family. I am hoping that David Chase will come up with a movie idea and make the ending into a movie.
Ok, time to clean my living room so that I can get my furniture into a perfectly clean room!!

Please tell me that school starts next week!!! *sigh* ok, so school has just gotten out and I am ready for them to go back already!! Luckily, they are ALL going to summer school this summer and that starts on Monday. I never remember summer school being the way that it is now!! My older 2 got to pick the classes that they wanted and they have all kinds of FUN things to do!! My oldest will be in eMINTS most of the day and so that means he will be on the computer most of the day! He is really excited about that and cannot wait to get back on the computers at school. My older daughter does not really have to go to summer school so she is taking a bunch of FUN classes. She has Reading For Fun, Math Puzzlers, CIRCUS (don't ask me), Sign Language, and Zoology for her classes. She is really excited about all the fun classes she will be taking this summer and we will be able to do sign language with one another, which will be fun. Yes, I took a college course on Sign Language and I LOVED it!! Yeah, I am a dork and always will be :o) As far as the younger 2 go they will not be changing classes but will also be doing a bunch of fun stuff. Needless to say I am really excited for the kiddos.
My brother graduated Wednesday!! It was a really nice graduation and I am really proud of my lil bro. He kept his grades up all through high school and gets 2 years free at a community college because of the A+ program. So that will really help out with college. After he is done with his 2 years he is going to probably transfer to Mizzou, which is where one of my cousins goes. I am not sure what he wants to go for yet but he has time to figure it out.
Him, my mom and my grandma are all leaving for Korea on Saturday. I am excited for my brother to see a part of his heritage but at the same time am upset that they are going at all. Things have been rough with our family and I just really believe that my mom going is a mistake. She is being so selfish it is beyond belief. She thinks that she has to showboat for a man that is her sperm donor and nothing more. For a man that has absolutely nothing to do with her or her kids. She thinks she has to act like everything in her life is just dandy and that she has money that she does not have. Why she feels that she has to ACT for her father is beyond me. The man said he would come here to visit, so she gets on a kick of wanting to buy a bigger, new home... he the decides that he cannot make the flight over here so he is not coming. My mom then decides that its important to go to him. So she starts making arrangements to go to him and buys plane tickets for her, my brother and my grandmother. Well, my grandmother buys them, she doesn't. Then she decides that she needs to take a bunch of "gifts" with her. I guess alcohol is expensive there so she buys a bunch of that and honey too plus a bunch of other crap that she should not be buying. Then she talks to the man and he says that he does not think that he can make the drive to where her plane is coming in and why doesn't she come in to a closer airport so that he does not have to drive so far. So she is going to be on a plane for 17 hours from here to Korea and then have to turn around and get on ANOTHER plane to go from one place in Korea to another and does he offer to pay for those tickets??? NOOOO, so even MORE money for a man that should mean nothing to her.
There is a lot more to the story but I just dont feel I should get into it. I just know that the outcome of it all will not be good. Ok, I am done with all this...
My older daughter is on a girl scout camping trip. She will be back tonight. My older 2 have ball games this weekend. Plus it is the weekend that the organization has picture taking and a big fireworks display. So will be doing that this weekend and then our daughter has a game extra early Sunday morning.
Ok, I am off to clean house and do laundry. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I have been meaning to post and just have not had the time to get around to it. We are pretty much moved into our new house and loving it. I still do not have living room furniture but I am expecting it this week, so in the mean time we are busy getting things cleaned up and set up in the other rooms. My den and kitchen are in perfect working order. I have not decorated the kitchen or dining room yet and have not decided on what I want to do to decorate them. I did have Pooh in my kitchen but it would not look good in my new kitchen so I am going to have to do something else. I was thinking a wine/grape theme for my dining room but now I am leaning more towards Deep red roses/flowery theme. Who knows what I will end up with :o) I did buy a beautiful vase for the middle of my dining room table and my aunt is going to put a flower arrangement together for me. So we will see what I end up doing. The guys have started putting the basement together. The air hockey table is down there and needs to be set up, the tv and game systems are all hooked up and have been played with. I need to get the bedrooms in order and will hopefully get to them this weekend. We are almost completely out of the old house. We still have a few odds and ends hanging around and a lot of the kids toys, but I am not too worried about them since I plan on getting rid of most of them!
In other family news, my cousin's hubby may not have to go back to Iraq after all! If he was to go back he would have left for training out in CA last week and has not left, so we are taking that as a good sign. They are planning on coming in for the holiday weekend since her daughter will be 2 and have a birthday party for her while she is here. Also, my other cousin found out that his fiancee of several years broke it off with him completely and was out with another guy so to drown his sorrows he went out with a few of his buddies and on his way out of the bar was mugged and had the shit beat out of him by 4 guys, cracked a few ribs, broke his wrist and bruised up pretty bad, then when he got back to his car found that it had been side swiped and has a bunch of damage to his car. So needless to say the poor guy is not in the best of shape right now!! He did move home for the summer since he will be interning at a law firm here but will go back to college for the fall. My brother is officially out of school. His last day was Monday and he is really excited about graduating. His graduation is next Wednesday and I am really excited for him. He is car-less at the moment since he screwed up the transmission in the car he was using but will hopefully be able to get it fixed this summer. Him, my mom and my grandma are leaving for Korea on the 2nd and will be gone til the 20th so they are all getting geared up and ready to go. I wish I could have gone with them but am more excited about moving into our new house and getting new living room furniture!!
As for my kids, they are all doing great, my youngest kiddos last day of school is tomorrow and we will really miss all his teachers and friends that he had here. We have made many friends, including a Korean boy that was adopted by American parents. He has a Korean brother who is also adopted and the mom is super sweet. Hopefully we will be able to stay in touch with them and stay friends. Someday I would love to adopt a Korean baby! :o) The other kids last day is Friday. My kindergartner will have her graduation on Friday!
All the kids field trips are finally over!! I went to the zoo with the 4th graders, there were 2 boys and a girl in my group and we stuck with another group of girls so there were 7 total kids that we were with. They had a great time looking at SOME of the animals, since we did not make it through much of the zoo. The girls wanted to SHOP at every place and then wanted to ride the carousel so that took up a lot of time. The boys were happy just monkeying around. Then my older daughter had her field trip to one of the pizza places and got to make their own pizzas and see how the place worked. They had fun making pizzas and I had an all girl group that time so they were nice and giggly. We were supposed to go to the park afterwards but got rained out so it was a fairly short field trip but we all still had a lot of fun!! Then my youngest daughter had her field trip to the zoo and that was a lot of fun. More than I thought it would be with 4 classes of kindergarten kids!! I had 1 other little girl in my group and we stuck with another group of little girls and really had a good time. They loved seeing all the animals and had a great time with the penguins and learned quite a bit! All in all it was a lot of fun. We also had a Talent show at school that week. My older daughter decided that she wanted to try out and sing Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood. I was shocked that she wanted to do that but she practiced and did a really good job!! I was very proud of her for getting up in front of people and doing that!!! She has really come out of her shell and is becoming quite outgoing.
Baseball and Softball are still in full swing. The girls have been losing a lot of their games but are just happy to get out there and play and have fun. The boys are a little more competitive but are still having a blast. We have 3 games just this week for the boys!! They won last night due to forfeit but they went ahead and played a scrimmage game with them since we were already there and did manage to beat them in that too! We are back at the ball field again tonite and my younger daughter has an ice cream social for girl scouts that I have to go to so it will be another full evening!! Then we have one final baseball game on Friday and will be done for the week!!
That is my life in a nutshell. It has been crazy crazy but we are taking each day as it comes!! I am sure there is a bunch of stuff I am missing, but I will eventually either get back to it or never blog it at all :o) I hope that all is well with everyone out in the world!!

OK, I have 2 major complaints today... I have not really kept up with the political stuff since we have been so very busy but today I read some stuff online and heard about the Rosie thing on the radio and really do believe that it is too good to pass up and not blog and bitch about!!
First, the comments by Rosie, her comment that floored me, “I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center tower 7—building 7, which collapsed in on itself—it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center 7. World Trade [Center] 1 and 2 got hit by planes—7, miraculously, the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.” Is she for real?!?!?!?!? Wonder how they get steel to do the things they need done to them... think they call Superman to twist it or bend it or anything else that needs to be done to it??? She is such a stupid bitch. Ok, rant 1 over...
Rant 2... There was a March of illegal immigrants in LA and the rest of the country today. My thought on that, why the hell did they not have buses there to load their sorry asses up and take them BACK to the border and shove their fucking asses out the damn door and tell them to bitch to their own damn governments???? I am all for shoving them back into the ocean and throw them back to Mexico!!!! Screw you people who think that you have the same damn rights as I do!!!! My damn tax dollars pay for their sorry asses to have a march and so that they can BITCH at our government?? I don' think so!! They should NOT have rights, what rights should they be given? The illegal aliens and their rally is COSTING our government money!!! Screw that!!! I think that they should all be shipped back to their countries and told to fuck off. *deep breath*
Ok, those are my rants for the moment. I am sure I could come up with a whole heck of a lot more to complain about, but those are my most recent complaints. :o)

Saturday, April 28, 2007

Well, we managed to have 2 of the 3 ball games this week. One of our sons got canceled due to rain and the following night was our daughters game. It was a bit chilly and quite muddy and they lost 17-0 but it was still a lot of fun. Then on Thursday night it was our oldest sons turn and it was really chilly that night and they lost too, but they had a great time and we loved being there. Friday my hubby got a photography job and was taking pictures of choirs, he had a blast doing it. That night we had the girls Girl Scout bridging ceremony. It was great to see our daughters move from Daisy to Brownie and the other one Brownie to Junior Girl Scout. Then our oldest daughter had a sleepover with her troop. This morning was the continuation of hubbies photography job of more choirs and I went along to help. It was a lot of fun to set the kids up and to see their funny pictures that they came up with. I am finally home to do some packing! Or at the very least organizing so that I can get a lot packed up!!
This coming Thursday a girlfriend of ours is coming into town. We are going to be taking her bridal pictures for her and we are really looking forward to seeing her and spending time with her. She is coming in from Colorado and will be with us til Sunday. We have been really busy with all the activities that we have going on that I do not know when I am going to get all this packing and moving stuff done! Not that I am complaining, cuz truly I am a very happy that our girlfriend is coming to town. Now if only my house would magically pack itself!
Luckily a bunch of my brothers friends are willing to help us move. They are a good bunch of guys and I am glad that they are willing to help out. They are happy at the thought of pizza galore.
In other news, my brother, mother and grandma are off to Korea in June. Since we are moving to a new house, I thought that was way more important than me visiting Korea this time so I am not going to go. They are going for 16 days and my mom moved the date up since her dad is doing badly. She did not pick good timing, but she rarely thinks of anyone but herself. My brother graduates from high school at the end of May and starts college in the Fall. There is a lot more to this story, but nothing I really care to share right now. Ok, well the kids are driving me nuts so time to get them to wind down and get ready for bed.

Monday, April 23, 2007

I have considered posting a few times, but then got to thinking about everything else that needed to be done and decided to do those other things. Things have been really hectic around here and I have been really busy, plus sick to boot.
I was on that cortiosteroid for my poison ivy and it said that my immune system would be down, well the hubby had a head cold and decided to SHARE IT WITH ME!!! So I ended up with a nasty head cold and finally about over it!
We had Girl Scouts April Showers over the weekend, it went really well. The girls collected over 2000 items for the local food pantry and had a lot of fun collecting it all and marking out the bar codes and separating it all out. There were only a few disgusting items, like USED deodarant, and opened toothpaste and floss, but luckily we did not get any used toothbrushes!! I managed to get in about 8 hours of scrapbooking and got 20 pages done.
I went to a baby shower for one of my girlfriends on Sunday and we had a great time. Her hubby is someone I have known all my life and he is a major sports freak so they got a ton of sporty stuff for their baby. Luckily its a boy :o) I had a blast shopping for the baby and have to admit that sooo many things have changed since I have had a baby!! I got the cutest Rams windbreaker outfit that should fit the baby this fall. Plus other stuff that was on her registry. It was great to sit and talk to everyone and do the "remember when" stuff.
This week is an extremely busy one. We have 3 ball games this week and a wedding to go to on Saturday. Plus, we have packing... yes, I said packing! We have been at our current location for 5 years and have decided that it is time to move. We are going to finish out the school year here and then move! We got a 4 bedroom ranch and I am sooo excited!! We have been living in a split level and I have really started hating it!!! I hate walking in the door and having to walk up steps. So we finally found a ranch that only has stairs to the basement :o) Plus the kitchen is a dream. Its not THE perfect kitchen, but its damn close!! I don't know if I will ever be able to afford my dream kitchen :o) Considering the houses I have seen it in is 300,000+ lol. Yeah, I have expensive taste! I am really excited about moving and cannot wait to move!
I am sure there is a bunch of other stuff to say, but I don't have time right now!

Thursday, April 05, 2007

My weekly update! Saturday was a really really busy day!! My younger daughter had a field trip to one of the local police departments and it was a lot of fun for the girls. Both of the Daisy groups went so there were 11 5-6 yr old there. They got a tour of the police department and got to see the dispatch area and got to meet one of the K-9s that they have. The lady officer even had her Sergeant put the "arm" on so that they could see the dog in action. It was neat for the girls to learn all the different things that go on and they all had a ton of questions. Us mommies even learned a thing or 2. That police department has 4 K-9s, one of them is a bomb dog and the other 3 are for drugs.
After our field trip to the police department we met up with the rest of the family and got the kids hair cut, my older daughter decided that she wanted to get highlights so we did that and I got 6 inches cut off my hair. My older daughter also had softball practice so we did that and then our younger daughter had a birthday party to go to so we did that. It was a bowling party and she was oh so unhappy about the shoes and refused to bowl til her daddy put the shoes on and she finally played and ended up having a great time. Then to top it all off we ran home grabbed clothes for the kids and headed out to take pictures of the kiddos. We got about 200 great pictures of the kids. Individual pics of the kids and then group pics. All in all it made for a very long day!!!
Sunday we took the kids to my parents and they watched them so that hubby and I could take my brother out and about to do his pictures. He asked hubby to do his Senior pictures instead of paying someplace a buttload of $$ to do it. So we went to several different parks and to the Arch to get some shots. Hubby took almost 200 pictures of him out and about and most of them turned out awesome. Hubby also did about 200 indoor pics so he will have a few to choose from! That was an all day event and was a lot of fun.
Monday was our daughters first softball game and they WON!!!! It was a beautiful night for a game and she had a great time! Then after every game the girls get to have slurpees, which I think was more exciting to the girls than winning the game!! They need some work on their outfielding but they did a great job and we were proud of all the girls.
Tuesday we did some running around. Wednesday our oldest had baseball practice and they all got their uniforms!!! They are the Blue Devils! :o) It got really cold yesterday and practice was even colder! They have their first game tonight at 8:15, which is pretty late, luckily the kids do not have school tomorrow! But it is going to be a frigid night so I am not sure how long I am going to stay since all the kids are going.
Friday is going to be a busy day too, the kids are on Spring break so we will probably go to the library and who knows where else. Saturday we have softball practice and then going to my parents for dinner and a birthday party for my grandma. Sunday is Easter and we are going to my aunt's to celebrate together. That is about the extent of my existence! Kids, kids and more kids! I have been working with my dad, but we have been really busy so time seems to fly.
I hope that everyone has a great Easter! :o)

Thursday, March 29, 2007

This week has been like any other. Girl Scouts, Volleyball, Girl Scouts, Baseball, Softball, Field Trip, Birthday Party.... and the list goes on!!
Monday night hubby decided to start on my brother's Senior pictures and so far they are looking really great!!! He brought along his "friend" Ashley and took pics in his track outfit, football gear, dressed up, dressed down and a really cool one of him standing there with his back to the camera so that you can see his tattoo ( my idea :o)) There were also a few of him and Ashley together, which turned out really cute!!! Hopefully sometime this weekend we can find some places outside to get more pics done. It is supposed to rain Saturday and we have a bunch of stuff planned so we are shooting for Sunday. I have a few ideas that I want done so we are going to have to go to several places to get what I want done.
Saturday is our busy busy busy day. My younger daughter has a field trip to the Police Department with her Girl Scouts, so I will be going on that field trip to get lots and lots of pictures!! I have very few pics of the girls doing Girl Scout stuff and this is the first field trip that she has had with the group so it should be fun! Then we have softball practice and the younger daughter has a birthday party to go to so I will be doing that too... Just call me Chauffeur mom!!! Then next week, my kiddos will finally start playing games!!! Our daughters is the 2nd and our sons is the 4th. Plus, Spring Break starts next week so the kids will be off at the end of next week again! Can't they just go to school for a whole week?!?!?!?! I swear it seems like they are off at least once a week!
OK, off to practice I go...Just another day in my life...........

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Last night was volleyball and I had a great time. There were 8 of us there so it was wonderful to have 2 teams and get a lot of volleying in! I forgot to mention that I actually made 2 baskets last week at volleyball, but last night was a no basket night for us! :o) Guess I should not be aiming for the basketball net huh? But, I am one of those that has no control over where her ball is being hit, so the baskets from last week were quite the hit! :o) Our new volleyball is the absolute best, nice and soft and NO bruising!! Yes, we are weenies, but we prefer the no bruising!
One of the moms had the great idea of playing the rest of our time together and for the very last game invite our husbands and play against them. Which I think is a great idea. It would be interesting to see how the hubbies do against us awesome moms! They would not have a chance!!
The kids only have a half day today and then we are off to the library to get some more books. The kids have enjoyed going to the library so I am hoping that I can make it a once a week or couple of week deal for us. Plus they have off for the rest of the week and it will be great to give them something to do, like READ!! Tomorrow is Parent/Teacher conferences for all the kids. It will be great to see how much my kiddos have progressed and have really taken on their own identities in school. Even the youngest has really come to his own and has really become his own individual self. There was other news of our principal retiring at the end of this school year. I have really enjoyed having her as the principal and will be sad to see her go. From the rumors going around the assistant principal wants her job. A girlfriend of mine that is a teacher at another school would love to see him become our principal. So it will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the year. Then to see how smooth the transition is next year. All 4 of my kiddos will be at the school next year so I will be spending time up at the school and involved with what is going on.
OK, on to other things... I was going to check my email and an article caught my eye... What Makes Men Fall in Love? I thought that it was an interesting article. Some of the stuff I thought was just a given, and some stuff I found interesting. The part where they want an independent woman, I think that is very important. Who wants to have someone clinging to them 24/7 with no interests of their own? I personally love my hobby times and the times that I get out to be "one of the girls". Which is completely different for me. Before, I was one of the guys! During high school and right afterwards 99% of my friends were guys!! One of my very best friends, Matt, was getting ready to go into the Marines and we spent all our time together, partying, and just hanging out and being "one of the guys". Our group of friends were guys, other than me as the exception, and we did everything together. I did not date any of the guys that I hung out with (ewww) and really did not date (the guys were a wee bit protective) anybody else. So after I finally got into a serious relationship (and married that serious relationship) I had to readjust to being a girl!! Which took quite a bit of doing. I am not the shopping, makeup, gotta have 200 pairs of shoes type of girl, nor will I ever be! So I had to find a happy medium and found scrapbooking and stamping. Which is now one of my passions. So I can appreciate a man wanting a woman who loves to do her own thing. But I also have to say that as a woman I appreciate the same. I want my man to have interests, to have a hobby and get out and do things. But, as a side note, I also enjoy being a part of my hubbies interests and enjoy him having an interest in my hobbies!!
A man that wants to have GUY time is something else. Of course he wants to have guy time, just like us women want to have girl time. There are times that I just want to hang out with my best friend and do not want there to be a purpose other than just to hang out. Out to lunch, scrapbook shopping, pedicures, whatever... everyone needs time to themselves and it should be enjoyed thoroughly!
Now the next one is interesting to me... a woman with a strut... huh... this is one that I have never heard! I do not pay attention to the way that I walk, let alone "strut". Nor have I ever watched how others strut! I guess that is something that I will have to pay attention to next time I am out!
And the last one... a Woman who has a good taste in ties... that is very interesting!! I have this thing for ties. I absolutely LOVE picking out ties. I have probably picked out 90% of my husbands ties and generally pick out the shirts to go with them. He generally picks out his suits, but I have always given my opinion as to which one I like. I just love, love, LOVE ties though. My hubby probably has 50 ties and there are times that I just look at ties to see what is out there and once in a while will pick one up, though I prefer him to be there, since his taste does differ from mine from time to time.
So, I guess most of the article just made sense to me, I do not wait on my husband hand and foot but there are times that I will do things like bring him his dinner plate, or make him something that he wants or bring him a drink. But in return he does the same for me. There are times that he will stop by Starbucks and pick up my favorite drink or pick up dinner for the 2 of us and surprise me with something that I love. I will iron his work clothes and he will iron mine on occasion. But I think that all goes with a relationship. It is a give and take on both ends and has to be to be successful.

Nothing new to report. The weekend was a pretty quiet one. It snowed on Saturday, it did not stick but it was the most beautiful, fluffy snow. Our daughter was supposed to have softball practice but they canceled it cuz they thought that it was too cold for the kids to play. Their first game is April 2nd. They are going to play 12 games this season, and most of the games are reasonable. There is one that is on a Sunday at 8 a.m. and a few pretty late games but for the most part they are reasonable. We do not have a schedule for our son yet, for some reason they had to have all the boys signature for the roster before they will give us a schedule. So hopefully we will have it soon. Hell, I do not even know what the name of the team is yet!
We did not do much for St. Patties Day, my mom made Corned Beef and Cabbage so we went there for dinner. Mom ended up going out with her friends and dad and hubby and I played games for the evening. Sunday V and I worked the Girl Scout cookie booth from 4-7. We were only supposed to be there for a little while, but some of the girls did not show up and even the leader of the troop was an hour late. So we ended up there longer than we planned. But her and a few of the other girls did sell quite a few cookies!!
This is a fairly quiet week, the kids only have school for a part of the week. Wednesday is a half day for them and then hubby took Thursday off so that we could do all 4 of the kids parent/teacher conferences. Then they are off all day on Friday. Fun, fun with the kids having a 4 1/2 day weekend!
My brothers prom is this weekend... too bad I have not talked to Jen in a while, he does not have a date, maybe she could have gone with him!! :o) I have scrapbooking this Saturday and then I have an Arbonne party on Sunday.
Now I gotta get to making dinner...

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Blah, blah, blah. Same ole story different day. The kids are keeping us going every which way and I have been staying busy "working". The older 2 finally have all the equipment that they need for Softball and Baseball. I just cannot believe what it takes for kids to play sports these days!! I am sure that we could have gone the really cheap way and got the kids the cheapest of everything, but then, would it really be worth it? I could have bought the $10 helmet, but it felt so cheap that I am afraid that if they were hit in the head with a ball it would bust! So instead we spend $45 on a helmet and guard and hope for the best! Then bats, oh my goodness!! The choices and the prices!!! Anywhere from $20 to $200 well the $200 is where I stopped looking and decided that I did not want to know how much higher they went!! Shoes were actually not too bad. I did not get the cheapest but I also did not get the most expensive. I got name brand stuff hoping that it will last for the season and maybe can be passed on to our other kiddos if they decide they want to play! :o) Doubt that will work out in my favor though!
Last night I got to play volleyball!! I have to say that I missed it!! One of the ladies bought a new ball, its a 12 & under ball and it was really really soft!! NO bruises!!! :o) Next is knee pads and maybe I will be willing to dive for a ball, don't hold your breath though! I did get stood up by someone that was supposed to show up and play with us ladies and I am not sure what the reason is, but hey, I had a good time with everyone else that was there. There were only 6 of us but it was perfect for us to have 3 on 3 and we got a lot of playing time in.
On to other things... Girl Scouts has some pretty strict rules... If you are an adult and want to go to meetings or on field trips you have to be a registered adult and you have to go through all the hoops and have references. OK, so I understand the background check it makes sense... but good grief. You have to have all that stuff done to even go to a meeting. Unfortunately, there are a few things that have not been finished so now I am scrambling to get them done. You have to have 3 references, so I think I finally have that done. My best friend, another really good friend and my next door neighbor are my 3 references. How many people can say they have references that they have known for most of their lives? One of mine I have known for 28 years... she happens to be 28. I have known her all my life and am super lucky to still have her in my life.
Well, there is more to say but I have to cut it short so that I can get ready for Baseball practice and Girl Scouts... hope all is well!

Our time out on the farm was wonderful. I have to say that it is not something that I want to do all the time but for that one week it was good. We were up by 6 every morning, out feeding the animals shortly after and then later that afternoon did it all again along with getting the eggs. I think the worst part was the dogs. They have 8 dogs and a few of them became attached and drove me nuts by being under foot and constantly there. I think that it really wore the kids out and also the puppy.
Saturday was a really busy day. We picked up Girl Scout cookies, had batting cages for our older daughter, and a meeting for my oldest sons baseball. We have gotten all the stuff for our daughters softball now have to get everything for our son. I cannot believe all that it takes!! Bats, bat bags, helmet with guard, gloves, glove, shoes, uniform, 11'' balls... the whole thing is costing me an arm and a leg!! Plus we have to pay for the batting cages. *sigh* We ordered the uniform for our daughter and the other one is in the works. Our daughters team is the Cool Cats with red and white as team colors and our sons colors are blue and white and we are not sure about the name yet. The kids are thinking up what they want and the coach will pick something.
Something I forgot to mention... a couple of weeks ago one of my really good friends saw us on the highway. At first we had no idea who in the world it was but finally realized it was my friend Matt! I had not seen him in over a year so it was great to see him driving down the highway :o)
Ok, well off to get stuff done. This is a really busy week for me. Girl Scouts, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball blah blah blah!!

Ready for a comment that has never been said by me??? FARMER BREN. Yup, that is me! At least for this week. Some friends of ours decided that they needed a vacation and asked us to come down to their farm and watch over the livestock. They have pot-bellied pigs, a horse, chickens, geese, dogs, goats and cats. So since Saturday we have been down here taking care of the farm. I have actually really enjoyed it! There is a routine and that routine is really very easy. They have 3 baby goats that the kids have loved playing with. The dogs are a lot of fun for the kids and our dog has absolutely loved being around them all. I have even collected chicken eggs!! *sigh* Wow... me as a farmer. Things never cease to amaze me :o)
The kids are still going to school and since we live about 45 minutes away we are having to get up extra early, but that is ok too! We will see how it goes closer to the end of the week when we are exhausted from doing so much and getting up an hour earlier than we are used to! Ok, have to get out the door to get my youngest to school. I am sure I will update again soon!

OK, so I have been informed by blogger that my blog is considered a SPAM blog and they have blocked me from blogging til they figure out that I am NOT a spam blog. Thank you very much! Blah, blah, blah! I am actually able to sit and blog for a few moments and am told that I can save it but cannot publish it til they are certain that I am not a spammer... freakin spammers!!
Oh, well.... This past weekend was a fun one for me. I got to scrapbook all day Saturday and then went to an Arbonne party at my girlfriend Deanna's. I managed to finish 16 pages and I also organized my pictures so I know what I have and what I have to do... Which is a lot since there are about 23,000 pictures on our computer!! Luckily I can organize my pages really easily and can bounce around on whatever I want to do. Last time I worked on 2006 pictures, this time I worked on pictures from 2000. I think I get a lot more done when I do whatever inspires me to do.
At the Arbonne party I got a nice face cleansing and while I was there I won the prize of Sea Salt Scrub and lotion. I also signed up to host a party, *sucker* written on my head, so I will do that next month! :o) But regardless it was a fun time!
This week is a really busy one, both of the girls have Girl Scouts, I have volleyball, 2 of the other kids have a dentist appointment, and my older daughter starts batting cages this weekend. That should be interesting!! She has never swung a bat to my knowledge and to have a ball come at her will be very interesting to see!
Well, off to feed the children so we can get going to Girl Scouts!!

Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Again, I have been horrible at posting. I have actually been "WORKING"!! My dad asked me to come help him out at his store, so being the good daughter, I have been going over there working on his books. Should be interesting to see how it all turns out!!
Saturday was Cecilia's 1st birthday!!! I cannot believe it has actually been a year since she spent so much time in the hospital and had so many struggles!! She is still itty bitty but she is soo sweet! There were probably 80 people at the party and she seemed to really enjoy everything. After the party we went back to my parents and we had a birthday party for my hubby and my mom. I made dinner for everyone and that was about the extent of our weekend. All the kids were home on Monday so it was my day to catch up on cleaning house and getting them ready for school.
Last night was the first time us moms were able to play volleyball. There were 5 of us who showed up and I have to say I really enjoyed it!! My arms are nice and bruised from hitting the ball with my arms and not my hands, but an hour and a half of exercise was awesome! Ok, well I have to get my son off to school and get going! Hope everyone is doing great out there!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Now, I have to get ready to take my daughter to the doctor for her pink eye... *sigh* It NEVER ends!!

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

Everyone ready for Valentine's Day? Valentine's Day to me is one of those "have to" days so I really do not care about it. I hate battling crowds of people waiting at restaurants and the cliche of flowers and candy. Plus my daughter has a Girl Scout meeting! I always get a little something for the kiddos. I normally get something for the hubby but have no idea what to get him this year so my present to him will have to be late! Plus his birthday is the day AFTER Valentine's day so I have no clue whatsoever to get him!! He is one of those guys that goes out and buys what he wants when he wants it and I am almost always at a loss of what to get him.
It is really snowing out today so the kids are home on a snow day. They were excited about today but really want to have school tomorrow since its supposed to be their Valentine party. We are supposed to get 2-4 inches so I highly doubt they will have school. There are lots of hilly roads in our area and they are generally the last to be cleared.
Well, my daughter had her last basketball game at 8 freakin o'clock in the morning this past Saturday and they lost 18-2. Which is not too bad, they actually held the other team to under 20 points, which was a first for the season! There were only 6 girls there so that also meant that they had to play most of the game, which is something our girls do not do!! Come the second half of the game our girls really are not interested in playing, so the fact that most of the girls had to play the whole game with basically no break they did very well. Our daughter did very well and was very aggressive. It was great to see her play defensively!! She had that ball and was not willing to give it up to the other team at all!! There is going to be a basketball clinic this summer so I am sure they will do that and then hopefully the girls will play together next year!!
Baseball/Softball starts in April for the older 2 kiddos so I am sure there will be a lot more to talk about come that time!! Hope everyone is staying nice and warm!! I heard on the news that New Yorkers got 143 inches of snow!! YIKES!!! You all can keep all that snow!! Stay safe all!

Ok, so I really just cannot believe this story. I thought Koreans held grudges for a long time... well, I have to say they do not hold grudges near as long as black people!!
I am not racist, but this just really pisses me off!! I was watching the news the other day and this tart (damn democrats!) thinks that the State of Missouri should offer a formal apology for slavery. OK, wait, WHAT??? The State of Missouri should offer an apology for something that happened over 140 years ago to people that are not even alive or even the people that had slaves...
The ONLY thing I am sorry for is the fact that f*cking people cannot get over it!! It did not happen to you!! Hell, it did not even happen to your parents or your grandparents. Lets bitch about something that old??? Good grief, shut the fu*k up and get the f*ck over it!!! Yeah, so I don't care, why should I?? Me, my parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents were not the ones that had slaves. Our family DID own slaves, OVER 140 YEARS AGO!!! But guess what, it had NOTHING to do with me or any of the people that I knew so NO, I do not think that you need a freaking apology!!! If you would like to dig up my ancestors and ask whats left of them to apologize, then have at it. But as far as an apology from a state that has changed so much and no one is even alive from that era to offer an apology, why ask for it??
*SIGH* Ok, I am breathing normal again. I was just so pissed about that stupid news story.
While I am at the news stories I might as well comment on the Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby thing. I feel so very badly for those boys and cannot believe that Hornbeck's family actually took him to the Opera show right after he came home from being gone and had gone through what he had to go through with that monster, Devlin. They say that there are 71 more accounts against Devlin with more to come. 69 of them accounts of Sodomy against the boys. I just hope that those poor boys can get their lives back to some sort of normalcy. That they get the help that they need and will get the love and attention that they need from their families.
Oh and one not so nice comment, the kid that gave the tip in finding the boys... THANKS for the comment of git-r-done as a way to represent. We greatly appreciate the fact that you make us Missourians look like back wood hicks.

I actually thought about posting last week, then out of laziness and sadness just didn't. We lost our great dane last Tuesday to bloat and it completely devastated us. There is a high risk in big dogs to get this and our baby was one of them. There are 3 phases to it and Titan just went straight into the 3rd phase with no warning of the first 2 phases. He was fine all day and then that night our son told us he was trying to throw up but couldn't so we got him and his belly was really bloated. Hubby took him to the emergency vet and they did xrays and tests and it was just too bad. His stomach had really twisted badly and it was already dying. We ended up having to make the hardest decision to put him down. I cried so hard that night. I could not believe we lost our baby. I had heard of bloat before and we did what we could to prevent him from getting it. He ate several times a day and he was always a gassy animal! He had the obnoxious habit of eating then coming to wherever you were and burped at you. Which is actually a good thing. Means the gas is not building up in their tummy.
I was at home when hubby called and said there was only a small chance that he would make it and what should we do. So we made the horrible decision to have him put down. My hubby was there holding him when it happened. I was at home with the kids and could not make it up there to be with him and decided that I did not want to keep him alive and in pain to wait for me to get there so I stayed home and bawled my eyes out.
We did not tell the kids in the morning since they had to go to school but waited til that night to tell them. They were all devastated also. He was such an awesome dog. He spent time with all the kids, but was really my youngest sons dog. He did not really understand but is upset that he does not have his dog. We did decide to have him cremated and will get his remains back. The kids are going to pick out what we are going to keep him in and we will have him with us always. I think we may do a decoupage of pics of him and the kids on whatever container we can find, so that way they have happy memories of their puppy.
I am not sure that I mentioned that we got rid of our Jack Russell we had, but we gave her to someone who really wanted another one. She has one and used to have 3 but got divorced and he got 2 and she got 1 so she really wanted another one and I was really just tired of dealing with a dog that ran out the door every time I opened it so it was the perfect solution. The kids were a little upset but really knew that she was going to be better off.
We did find another puppy this past weekend and decided to get him. It is another Great Dane, but we decided that we were going to do a different color and do one with cropped ears. So we got a fawn (Scooby Doo) with the ears that will stick up. We (I) decided on the name Apollo for this one. The other names I really liked ( Socrates & Archimedes) were just too hard for the kids to say so we decided Apollo was the best one. I wanted to stay with Greek Mythology and I really think that it is the perfect name. He is 9 weeks old and is already 30 lbs. He is doing great and the whole family has really taken to him. He is doing great with potty training and is adjusting well to all the kids! I will have to get a pic of him up soon.
The weekend was a fairly quiet one. Our daughter had a basketball game on Saturday along with pictures. They FINALLY scored their first point!! It was just the one basket, but they were ecstatic. They lost, but they played well. They were aggressive and prevented a lot of baskets from the other team and really seemed to have a good time this week. Too bad its the end of the season!! But I think overall it was a great experience. They are just a bunch of girlie girls and basketball is just something that they did cuz it was the whole group of them and I think that they had fun just being together. They are never upset that they lose, so that is a positive thing! I think that they would be much happier painting nails and being girls! They do want to do it again next year though. There is actually going to be a basketball clinic that they can do this Summer and they all want to do it, so maybe that will be what the girls need to learn how to play!
I had a stomach bug on Sunday and was sick all day so we did not do anything for the Super Bowl. We were supposed to get together with my family but called it off since I was feeling so bad. We were rooting for the Bears and were disappointed that they lost but enjoyed the game! Sucks that football is over though! I think my favorite Super Bowl commercial was the Bud one with the squirrel. The Federline commercial was a close second.

We made it through yet another week. Friday we had a Girl Scout thing where the girls were given their patches and awards of sorts, which were patches. My younger daughter got a pot of fake daisies and a few more of her petals, and my older daughters troop did not participate at all. Luckily it was short and sweet and we were out of there in about an hour. It was a really busy week and I was really quite tired of being on the go constantly. Saturday morning I left at 8 to get to my dads store to let my Creative Memories lady in to get set up for our crop and then had to leave to get to my daughters basketball game. They lost, again... They have yet to make a basket and it really does get discouraging! They do pretty good defensively, but it takes them about 35 minutes to really get into the groove of things and actually be aggressive and PLAY. So that leaves the last 5 minutes of the game for them to actually PLAY. Which of course by that time they are beat. But, they are learning and doing a little better each week. Hopefully they will all play next year and will really learn some techniques.
After my daughters game I went scrap booking, which I was really looking forward to. Unbelievably I got 20 pages done! Hubby and the kids went to Hobby Lobby and they each picked out a few scrap booking things for me and brought them up to me, which was really sweet!! I got all of my Halloween pictures done and also got Magic House pictures done, which was more than I thought I was going to get done! The Magic House is an amazing place for the kids to learn and explore and just plain have fun. If you are ever in the area, I really recommend a stop there! They always have something fun going on and its great for the kids. Sunday was our lazy day. I went to the store looking for a few scrap booking things for my brothers football album, that I hope to start next time I scrapbook. Hubby took 2,700+ pics from all his games, practices and the banquet at the end of the season. So I am going to have to be picky about what I put in the album! But I definitely have a good selection of pictures to choose from!
Well, back to getting things done before the kids get home from school. I hope that all is well with everyone!

Happy Friday!! Life has been as hectic as usual. I feel like I have officially become the taxi driver for my kiddos and its only going to get worse. We are in full swing of Girl Scout cookie sales. We are also selling raffle tickets for Baseball/Softball. Our older 2 have signed up for Baseball and Softball. I am not sure what the schedule is going to be yet but one more thing to take up time! It seems that 4 nights of the week are taken up now. Between my 2 girls in Girl Scouts there is basketball, which is going to end soon, and I am now doing Volleyball. Us moms decided that we needed some time to get together without just sitting around waiting for our kids and will start playing volleyball on Tuesdays. Oh, and don't forget to add in Chiropractor appointments for my daughter!! Which have gone from 3 times a week to 2. *sigh*
My oldest really wants to join Boy Scouts, so I am sure that we will be doing that really soon. Then there is the upcoming Baseball and Softball. Luckily my younger daughter did not want to play softball, so that is a bonus :o) And our youngest only talks about football so we will have to see about getting him into pee wee football at some point. Probably not this year but maybe the following year, maybe even soccer for a couple of them.
Tonight is the Girl Scout ceremony where they get their patches and for those that are bridging. That should be exciting :o) * insert sarcasm* Luckily I get some time to myself tomorrow and will be able to scrapbook!!! We have my older daughters basketball game first thing in the morning and a make-up game later that afternoon but I should be able to get in quite a bit of scrapbooking time. Which at this point I am really looking forward to.
I did get some sad news this week. My aunt called to let me know that my great aunt Dory died on Monday. She was the only surviving sibling of my grandma's. The cousin that has been taking care of them in Kansas City is going to have her cremated and no service. She has her hubby left but he is in really bad shape and decided against a service, which kind of upsets me. She did not have anybody in KC but my uncle, yet I feel like it is just not right to not have a service. They had lived in Arizona for a really long time and my uncle hates being in KC and my aunt had Alzheimer's really bad and was in a nursing home and fell into a coma sometime last week and then passed away on Monday in her sleep. My aunt that told me had just got out of the hospital for bronchitis and did not find out til Tuesday night and I found out on Wednesday. I do not even know where she will be buried, if they are even going to bury her... hopefully they will at least do that right and I can eventually take a trip to KC to see my uncle and visit her grave.
Well, I have cookies to bake, so I better get to it. I hope that everyone's weekend is a great one!

Tuesday, January 23, 2007

I finally have a moment to sit down and write a post. Things have been so busy and hectic that finding a few moments to write something seems virtually impossible! I did get to scrapbook a couple of weeks ago. It was nice to get out and get some pages done! This weekend was my older daughters birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Girly Girl :o) She is the BIG 10! She had a sleepover with her girlfriends. There were 10 girls in all. Good times, good times. Then Sunday was her actual birthday and we celebrated with my parents. Then last night was the High School Musical Concert. It was me, my daughter, my next door neighbor, her daughter, one of the girls friend, and another little girl from their class and her mother. So all of us went to dinner and headed downtown for the concert. Jordan Pruitt opened for HSM but we missed it since we were stuck in traffic. It was a sold out concert. Our seats were not the best, but not the worst either. We were in front of the stage up a ways. The girls absolutely loved it, they squealed, bounced around and were just flat out ecstatic. One of the main characters was not there since he is filming Hairspray with John Travolta, but the fill in was pretty amazing and the girls were goo goo over him. My daughters favorite is Vanessa Hutchings and most of the other girls adore Ashley Tisdale.
The songs were great, all of them from HSM and Ashley had a few of her own from her new album, Vanessa had a couple from her album and Corbin had a few from his, so an hour and a half of screaming, ecstatic girls. My idea of a great night out! :o) We finally made it home around 11. Oh, and the most exciting part... there is going to be a High School Musical 2 coming out this Summer... LUCKY LUCKY us!!! The girls are so excited they are already talking about going to see it. More Getch'a Getch'a Getch'a Head In the Game to come! You know, the saddest part of it... I LIKE the songs and Kelly and I were singing the songs along with the other 20,000 people in the arena! :o) Yeah, I admit it, I like the songs and think that the movie really is pretty great, especially for kids!
*Sigh* That was me admitting I enjoyed the concert :o) I enjoyed the one on one time I got with our daughter and my hubby got out of going to a concert with 20,000 screaming little kids! Hubby did take the day off so that he would be home in time for us to leave. It was nice to just have some time off with him. It is not very often that we just get to be alone. All the kids were in school and him and I got to do some running around without having to worry about the kids. We are trying to get stuff prepared for when we go to Minnesota. We are all still planning on going so we have a lot to do before we go. It is not too far off and hopefully we will get some answers for our daughter.
I am also planning on going to Korea. My mom and brother are going to go this year and my mom really wants me to go too. My mom's dad is still there and is getting up there in age and cannot make a 14 hour flight here so he wants us to come to him. I have never met him and would love to go there and meet him. I would also just love to go back to Korea. It has been 13 years since I have been there and I really want to experience it all again. I loved it when I went as a teenager and think that I would appreciate it more now that I am an adult. We are planning on 2 weeks, I am not sure I will stay a full 2 weeks but I definitely want to go for at least a week. All of our kiddos will be in school so it will just be before and after school that I have to worry about. I wish that all of us could go, I would love for our kiddos to experience something like this but unfortunately it is not in our budget. I would also love for my hubby to be able to go, to be there to experience my heritage with me. But he is the one that is going to be taking care of the kids! Plus, I would worry about him starving since he will not touch any of the Korean food! :o)
Ok, well it is time for me to get up and about since all my kiddos are in school. Hope all is well with everyone!

This blog was supposed to be a place where I could express how I felt without fear of being questioned or critisized for how I felt. I have had this thing for a long time and have for the most part said what is exactly on my mind. Til now. My husband asked me why I did not mention him in my posts. The main reason I do not mention him, especially by name is because of the job that he has and he has told me on several occassions what a "security risk" it is. He does not like that I post personal information about myself on here. I have kept what I say very vague.
So I have a post about my husband and talk about him. Today I get questioned "so why did you feel that you had to add something about me on your blog now?" I thought that I made the answer clear in the post about my husband, but I guess it was not clear enough. Him and I have had many conversations concerning this blog. There are times that I post and just let my thoughts flow and do not think twice about them. Especially when it comes to my grandparents, I do not feel like anyone can understand what I am going through therefore I just post them here to get them out. It is not meant to be mean in any way. I just do not feel that anyone can understand, nor do I WANT anyone to. I just want them out and do not want to talk about them. Just let the feelings and thoughts out of my head. I know that I am a very complex person and that my feelings are obscured in a lot of ways. I know that my thought process and what I do with them is also very obscure and strange. I cannot explain how I feel, why I express them the way that I do, why I do not like talking about them with anyone, I just DO. I have managed to hurt my husbands feelings in posting things that he does not know. My intentions were never to hurt him, but to just be ME. He has tried explaining to me that he is hurt at the fact that he has to read my feelings with the rest of the world instead of them coming from me straight to him and has asked me questions about it. I generally blow up at this. I do not feel that my feelings should be questionable. I just feel that what I write about should just BE. Not questionable, not talkable, just BE. He does not understand that, he believes that because he cares about me and asks me questions about it that I should just be open and willing to talk about things. On most matters, I do not mind discussing things, on others, I just flat out do NOT want to talk about it. I just plain want to get my thoughts out and be done with it.
Hell, I have no idea who even reads my blog, if there is even anyone out there that does. Truly, this blog is for me, and I have not considered others feelings when it comes to this thing. I am sure that it seems like a heartless bitch of a thing to say, but this is my space. My feelings are not negotiable under any circumstance whether people agree with them or not. Again, a cold heartless bitch of a thing to say, but the way that I feel. If I hurt someones feelings it is never what my intentions are and I am sorry for it. But I will not be sorry for my thoughts and the way that they are displayed. I cannot be sorry for the way that I am either. I deal with different things in different ways. I had such different emotions when it came to both of my grandparents deaths that I feel weird about it. I grieved for months and months and still do when I think of my grandpa, I get emotional and cry even at the mention of him. I grieve in an entirely different way for my grandma and rarely get teary eyed thinking about her being gone. I do not understand WHY I do, I just do. Its just the way things are.
I guess you can say that I am a very selfish, inconsiderate bitch and I am not sure that I would disagree with that. I just know that sometimes it is easiest for me to just sit here, think my thoughts and let them flow instead of talking about them first. I do not think of the consequences of my thoughts, I just do it. Maybe that is careless, maybe that is heartless, and I do not mean for them to be nor do I understand WHY I have to be that way, its just ME.

I was informed last night that I do not blog enough about my husband. I did not mention my anniversary in the last post, but I will do it now. Our anniversary was on the 30th and we planned a night out. My brother babysat the kiddos for us and we went to dinner at a restaurant called Bristol. It is an awesome restaurant with wonderful food, mainly seafood, which is one of my favorites. Hubby had a steak and I had crab cakes that were phenomenal. Afterward instead of bowling we decided to go to one of the casinos. We did not bring our cards with us so we ended up in line for about an hour waiting for a reprinted card, which was absolutely ridiculous. When we finally got into the casino we played the quarter slots. Hubby ended up winning quite a bit and I lost all that I played, which is not uncommon for me! I have no luck when it comes to the slots. So I stayed with him while he was up and then he ended up losing and we decided that was enough! It really was an awesome time. The casino has an excellent atmosphere and we were close to where the girls did their dancing thing so it was entertaining. It was an enjoyably relaxing night, just the 2 of us.
On to other stuff. Hubby and I were talking last night about the possible Presidential candidates... I told him that I would vote for Giuliani, hands down. I think that he is an amazing man. He has a past, and its not the prettiest picture, but who doesn't have a past?? He has been open about it, in my opinion, not denying things like others out there. Then I said to my hubby... What do you think the chances are that Clinton and Obama will run together?? Would that not just be completely extreme?? A white woman and a black man as President and VP? I just do not think that would fly, I think they would have a shot if it was one or the other, but together it is too extreme. He does not think that that will ever happen, but I am not so sure... I do not think the world is ready for that yet. Hubby made the point that a woman has run England for decades, what would the difference be? I think that being the most powerful person in the world, opposed to a queen is the major difference. The President of the United States has a lot more power than a queen of England. At the very least is in the spotlight a whole heck of a lot more than the queen. Hubby said this morning that he heard on the radio that a political analyst said that it was possible that Clinton and Obama would run together, not saying which would be running for President and VP. If I had to guess I would say Clinton for President and Obama for VP. Despite how popular Obama is, I do not think that he has been around long enough. I have been searching news stories and have found one of Clinton/Obama, not about them running together but if there is a difference between the 2. Overall, I think if the 2 run together it will be an extreme awakening for us all to see how ready we are for the huge change, or if we will stick with someone who was a hero during the 9/11 tragedy. I know that Bush has caused issues and that a lot of people are unhappy with him, as it is their right to be. But, I for one am not ready for a change that extreme and have to say that my vote will be going to Giuliani. All that coming from a woman who is a minority! Right or wrong, I am not ready for such a change. That and the fact that I really do not like Clinton. I am indifferent about Obama, but Clinton to me is a hard calloused spoiled bitch.
Well, that is enough for me today! The kids are in school again!!! Thank goodness! So I am off to clean house and do laundry. Happy day to all!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope that everyone has the happiest and most prosperous year to come! I am definetely rooting for the happiness part! It seems life has been such a roller coaster that it would be nice for it to even out and just be a calm year. NO sickenesses to deal with, no hospitals or deaths, just a quiet boring year is what I want.
I look back on 2006 and realize that we started out the year in a hospital, we dealt with our daughter being sick for the month of January, hubby losing his job over our daughter being in and out of the hospital so much, a pretty quiet couple of months, then finding out my grandma was going to die and then losing her in November. Of course there is my best friend who was on bed rest and then had the baby in February and her being there for almost 3 months. So I spent a good portion of my year going to a hospital or in a hospice house, 6 almost 7 months of all that! Its been a crazy year that is for sure. Now dealing with my grandparents estate has been a whole new stress level on the family. I think my whole family wishes we could rid my aunt of her horrible husband. There is not one of us that likes him but his wife and that is not saying much since she does not have any taste! He has been calling and badgering my aunt about money and she is sick of it, considering it should not be him talking about it, but his wife. My grandparents were very clear in the fact that it was to be dealt with between their children and the spouses were to stay out of it! But he has yet to respect that wish and has been badgering my aunt, who is not even the executor of the estate! Yet, when he does talk to my dad he does not say a thing about money, does not ask one question about it. He does not argue one point when talking to my dad. Luckily my dad is not a pushover and will put him in his place.
I finally got a chance to spend a little time with my best friend the other night. She wanted to borrow some of my scrapbooking stuff so I took it to her and got to spend a little time with her and the baby. Cecilia has gotten so big!! I cannot believe that she will be 1 next month. It seems like just the other day that she was in the hospital fighting for her life. Now she is a growing baby that is just really progressing beautifully. She is still tiny, all 14 lbs of her, but she is rolling around and is starting to scoot along the floor, so I am sure she will be crawling before too long.
There are so many things I reflect on from the past year and realize what a crazy one it was. I could have lost my daughter to an infection, had she not been taken such good care of, the chances were high that we could have lost her. I could have also lost my best friend, the baby was such a risk to her life, she was on so many meds, and had she not been monitored so closely, and had such a good team of doctors that we could have lost her also. There is also the baby, Cecilia was such a fighter! There were a few times that things were not looking so good for her, but she is here and the sweetest little princess! So, I guess there are so many things to be thankful for also. I still have my daughter, best friend and her princess. We are still dealing with the sickness from my daughter, but we are working on that and hopefully will get her back to herself sometime soon. If not from the chiropractor then hopefully the Mayo clinic.
I am sure there are so many other things to mention, I have either not thought about them, or have decided that I do not want to share them with anyone. Though there were all the sad times, there were also a lot of happy. My daughters are really coming around to all the different activities and have excelled in school. My youngest daughter was tested for the gifted program, and though she has not made it yet, I am sure that she will when she is willing to do it. They love cheerleading and Poms, love Girl Scouts, and my older one loves basketball. My youngest loves school and is really starting to improve on his speech, my oldest is doing a little better in school and will hopefully join Boy Scouts before too long. I have enjoyed the children so much more since they have been in school. It is so much less stress on me to teach them and is so much better for them.
Oh, and I did add a word verification to my comments thing. I keep getting spam shit. I do not have erectile dysfunction and really do not like to surf porn so all the spam stuff is rather annoying! It does not display info about anyone, its just a deterent to the damn spam. OK, I think I will end this post. Again, I hope that everyone has a great 2007.
