My hubby... God love him... is the sweetest man alive!! I asked him to stop by the grocery store on his way home from work last night to buy a few things we needed for dinner (like the whole meal) He calls me on his way home and says that he has a surprise for me and I will be gone for a couple of hours on Saturday... this gets me rather concerned (he LOVES to play games with me) I said ok.... what is it I am going to be doing??? He said you will see when I get home... ok.... he gets home and hands me this package... he bought me a Swedish body massage, pedicure, manicure and a mini facial from the spa that is next to our grocery store. He is the absolute greatest man alive!! :o) I have one issue... I do not like to be touched by people I do not know, I pretty much do not like being touched period..(other than by my hubby, kids, family and a select number of friends) The one other thing that the lady tried talking him into was a hair conditioning... which I would have absolutely refused... they put herbs and other stuff in your hair to condition it... I am soo glad that my hubby knows me and knows that I would not have gone for that at all... I am very anal about my hair, I have a girlfriend that cuts my hair. I do not let anyone touch my hair, no one "plays" with it, anything. I take care of my hair just fine thank you :o) I did put highlights in my hair, but they are so subtle that no one can tell (I can barely tell). Do not get me wrong, I appreciate what he did for me more than anything. I just do not know about the whole being touched thing lol... Oh, well... I am going to go and hope for the best :o) I have had manicures before, never a pedicure. Most people that know me know that I am a no frills type of girl. I do not care about jewelry, I wear my wedding ring and that is about it (I have jewelry, but rarely ever wear it). I rarely ever wear makeup (like 2-3 times a year) I care a little about clothes (they are not raggy) but I am not obsessed with them or shoes.... hubby has offered a million times to buy me jewelery, would love to buy me jewelry but I prefer other things and tell him not to bother. So... to me this whole spa thing feels on the frilly side :o) Oh, well... I am excited... have I mentioned that my hubby is the best hubby???? :oD
TOO FUNNY!!!! :o)
An airplane was about to crash; there were 5 passengers on board, but only 4 parachutes.
The 1st passenger said,
"I am Kobe Bryant, the best player in the NBA; the Lakers need me, I can't afford to die."
So he took the 1st pack and left the plane.
The 2nd passenger, Hillary Clinton said, "I am the wife of the former U.S. President, a NY State Senator and a potential future president. I am also the smartest woman in American history, so America's people don't want me to die", and she took the 2nd pack and jumped out of the plane.
The 3rd passenger, George W. Bush, said, "I'm the president of the United States of America. I have great responsibility being the leader of a superpower nation."
So he grabbed the pack next to him and jumped.
The 4th passenger, the Pope, said to the 5th passenger, a 10 year old schoolgirl,
"I am old and frail and don't have many years left, and as a Catholic, I will sacrifice my life and let you have the last parachute."
The girl said,
"That's okay. There's a parachute left for you. America's smartest woman took my schoolbag."

I promise I am not trying to man bash... but here is another cute one that I had to share... thank you to my sweet twin sister :o)
One day a man spotted a lamp by the roadside. He picked it up, rubbed it vigorously, and a genie appeared.
"I'll grant you your fondest wish," the genie said.
The man thought for a moment, then said, "I want a spectacular job. A job that no man has ever succeeded at or has ever even dared try."
"Poof!" said the genie. "You're a housewife."
He he he he... though I have to say I prefer NOT to be called a housewife :o) I am a MOMMY and WIFE thank you very much!! :o)

WTF? A friend of mine sent this to me... it is NOT work safe but is rather funny... you have to have sound to understand it :o) He has a great sense of humor and who knows where he finds this stuff :o)
Last night was pretty much uneventful... hubby decided that he wanted a DVD burner so we went and found the one that he wanted and bought it. He is happy as can be now... who knew computer geeks could be so easily amused?? Just kidding... I love him to death and whatever he wants is fine with me :o) Of course I had sticker shock on the stupid thing... along with the DVD's for them... but whatever... it is what he wanted.
The Blues/Redwings game last night was AWESOME!!! The Blues won... 6 to 5... HA HA HA HA JEFF!!!!!!! You and your stupid redwings can tuck your tails between your legs and stay there in Detroit!!! :o) Oh yeah, and JEFF, the BLUES are in FIRST PLACE right now... aawwww... look... the weee little redwings are SLACKING!!!! You guys can KEEP Shannahan and Hull... (I still love those guys) but you can have them, maybe you should not have gotten rid of Osgood and should have played Joseph (after recalling him from the minors on Monday)!! OK... sorry had to get that off my chest..... had to brag on my Blues for a little while. We have 5 more games against the Redwings... hopefully this year the Blues will win them all... unlike last year :o) I do have to say congrats to Brett Hull though... he is 4th in League history on most points... at 718... congrats to him :o)
On another note... I suggest visiting Liz's site... she has an awesome blog and I LOVE the color change... her latest entry has a CUTE video attached to it of penguins ( I LOVE penguins!!) She is also the one that sent me the E mail about the female brain cell...then of course there is Geoff's blog, which is always a must read... he had some one towed, then blamed someone else for it... rather funny... not a man you would ever want to cross!!

Something very funny that I got in an Email :o)
Once upon a time there was a female brain cell which, by mistake, happened to end up in a man's head. She looked around nervously because it was all empty and quiet.
"Hello?" she cried, but there was no answer.
"Is there anyone here?" she cried a little louder, but still no
answer......
Now the female brain cell started to feel alone and scared and yelled at the top of her voice, "HELLO, IS THERE ANYONE HERE?"
Then she heard a very faint voice from far, far away...............................................

We had an excellent time today at the birthday party for Chelle's daughter. Chelle is a VERY creative person!! She did a GREAT job on the cupcakes, crafts for the kids, pumpkins to decorate, and the whole thing!! Oh... and the ghost pops... those are sooo cute!! It was a blast... Thank you so much, Chelle!! I took pics at the party and I have put the ones up of my kiddos, I am waiting on an answer from the other ladies to see if I can post the other pics, since it has their kids in the pics. But in the mean time I have some up there of my kiddos and some of the craftsy stuff that they did!! I did add a pic of Kris.... it is really cute and I love it...I am sure that I will hear about it later though! :o) (Love ya, Kris!!) Chelle also had her house decorated beautifully for the fall/halloween holidays.... makes me extremely jealous!! :o) I am lucky to have gotten the window clings up on the windows this year!!! :o) Oh, well... some of us have it, most of us don't!!
Other than the birthday party it was an easy day. Hubby has been busier than ever. Which he loves and hates at the same time. I have added a few new blogs to the side... they seem to be really interesting ones and thought that they would be good ones to add. On another note... I got my Victoira's Secret catalog in the mail... if anyone feels compelled to buy me something I could really go for the million dollar bra and panty set!!!! :o) I have to say I am addicted to Victoria's Secret... I used to work there and loved it. Yeah, I know... mindless job :o) But it was awesome to see the new stuff that would come in and out of there, and to spend my paychecks on the stuff, and all the free promotional stuff I used to get!! I had more bras and thigh highs than I knew what to do with! I have a drawer and a half just of Victoria's Secret stuff... not including bras and panties!! Nothing compares to their stuff!! Of course, the hubby never complains... other than about the price, but if it makes me happy he normally just gives up bitching and lets me buy what I want :o) Plus, he has nothing to complain about ( I am sure that was WAY too much info!!) Oh... and I have found my bedding that I want and going to get... It is absolutely beautiful... deep red with velvet roses... how awesome is that?? Ok... I think that I am done now... just thought that I would share those few tidbits with you all...
I have also added the pics of Chelle's girls... since I am slow at typing up my entries, Chelle has managed to get back to me and let me know that it was ok with her :o) Make sure you check out the awesome birthday pics!!! :o)

Yeah, Yeah.... I got this in an E mail and thought that it was too good to pass up :o) some of them I would LOVE to say to people....
1. Okay, okay! I take it back. Unfuck you.
2. You say I'm a bitch like it's a bad thing.
3. Well, aren't we a damn ray of sunshine?
4. Do I look like a people person?
5. This isn't an office. It's hell with fluorescent lighting.
6. Why don't you try practicing random acts of intelligence and senseless acts of self-control?
7. I'm not crazy. I've been in a very bad mood for 30 years.
8. Sarcasm is just one more service I offer.
9. Do they ever shut up on your planet?
10. I'm not your type. I'm not inflatable.
11. Wait...I'm trying to imagine you with a personality.
12. Chaos, panic and disorder ... my work here is done.
13. Ambivalent? Well, yes and no.
14. You look like shit. Is that the style now?
15. Earth is full. Go home.
16. Aw, did I step on your poor little bitty ego?
17. A hard-on doesn't count as personal growth.
18. You are depriving some village of an idiot.
19. If assholes could fly, this place would be an airport

Oh, Yeah... did I forget to mention that the RAMS won yesterday??? Well guess what... they WON!!! WHOO HOOO!!! My Rams are BACK and more AWESOME than ever!!! AND they are TIED for FIRST PLACE!!!!!! I just LOVE football :o) To top it all off... the CHIEFS are still UNDEFEATED!!!! WHOOO HOOO for the Chiefs!!!
The BLUES are 4 and 2 which is ok... not great but ok...I found out that part of my Christmas present for this year is a BLUES game for December 4th against the DETROIT RED WINGS... who I have never seen play against one another and told hubby that would be an ultimate present... so hubby prevailed like he always does, and exceeds my wants by a bunch... we are in section 118 in the FOURTH row!! If you click the link we are up in the light blue section on the glass. I am sooo excited :o) I do not know if I have ever said this... but my hubby is the BEST!!! He tried for the November game but could not get that one and has been trying for a month to get the tickets (it was supposed to be a birthday present), since it is by appointment only and finally got really fed up with the ticket issue called and pitched a fit and got the December game which is just a few days after the Novemeber game, so no big deal, we have the receipt, we have the confirmation, now we are waiting on them to send us the tickets... :o) GOOO BLUES!!!! :o)
Oh yeah... on another note.. I called my cousin last night and talked to her for a little while... she will be home for good in early December!!! I am soo excited!! She is going to come home, relax a while and go to college and figure out what she wants to do from there. She is happy to be home, but feels guilty that she is home and the rest of her troops are still in Iraq, including her boyfriend. She really missed her friends and wants them home and feels bad that she is not there doing what she was trained to do, but at the same time happy to be away from that hell. My aunt is planning a trip to CO. in a few weeks to see her and then she will be home for good a few weeks later!!! I told her when she gets home I am taking her out for a few drinks and dinner :o) WHOOO HOOO!!! OK, I am done for now! Everyone have a great day!!! :o)

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! Ours was wonderful. We had a really fun and FULL weekend! Friday night we went out to dinner as a family and one of my girlfriends last day as a student teacher was Friday so I went up to Applebee's to celebrate with her. Saw some people that I had not seen since high school. So it was kind of cool to talk to them. It is amazing how sooo many people never freakin' LEFT this town!! Granted, I am back, but I at least got out of town for a few years!! We had a good time sitting around having a few drinks. (I had 1 beer, wow) :o) Then on Saturday we went to the Halloween party in Piasa, ILL. We had a great time! It rained most of the day and was cold but we managed to have a good time anyways! Hubby and my brother went fishing while we did crafts and games and they actually CAUGHT a fish. I did not get a picture for proof but I did see it :o) It did manage to stop raining long enough for us to go on the hay ride, and that was a lot of fun. There are pictures of some of the stuff in my pic area. We really enjoyed our time away, but were really happy to get home and get nice hot showers too :o)
Then on Sunday hubby and I managed to get away and went to the Applebutter festival. We met up with my best friend and another friend and walked around for a bit. Hubby and I wanted to look around by ourselves so we left them and just looked around and managed to find a crafty thing for my living room and lots and lots of food :o) We bought more food than anything else :o) They have this really awesome restraunt down there called the Blue Owl. We went for some lunch there and hubby "had" to have a corn dog :o) and kettle corn, and raosted pecans and almonds... and of course we cannot forget the APPLEBUTTER! :o) I also bought some pumpkin butter, I have not ever tried it, but from what I hear it is a lot like Pumpkin pie, just spreadable :o). There was the most beautiful dog there... it was a 14 month old Great Pyrenees. Hubby and I had bought one right after we got married and he was absolutely beautiful. He ended up dying a few weeks after we had him, of parvo. The vet told us he had it when we bought him and since we did not know, we did not catch it in time to save him. He was a gorgeous puppy, we later bought another one and gave her to a friend of ours that fell in love with her and since we could not move her with us, we thought it was the best thing to do for them both. So now hubby and I are talking about buying another one :o) Anyways, back on track... We left there after a few hours and hubby went over to a friends house to watch the football game with a bunch of the guys. The same guys that he tailgates with get together on days that the Rams are not in town and sit around and BS and drink (except mine, who does not drink) and "do the guy thing." My brother and I took the 2 younger ones and went shopping and went home and watched the game too :o) My mom kept the older 2 all day, which was really nice!! It was just me, my brother and the younger 2. It kept it quiet around my house for a while :o) Then last night went to my parents to get my older 2 kiddos and had dinner with them. That was the extent of my weekend! How was YOUR weekend??

I gave a list of books a week or so ago and I have managed to read a few more in that time...I read the Stanislaski sisters by Nora Roberts... that one was Romance all the way. It was pretty good. There are 2 books in one. It was easy reading. You read about the older sister and her life then you read about the younger sister and her life. There is also the Stanislaski brothers and Considering Kate that go to the series. I have not read either of those and do not know if I will. I am not one that really likes Romances. I also read Harvest by Tess Gerritsen, that one was really really good. It is another medical/murder book. It is a story of a Boston Bayside Hospital and their transplant team and organs that are appearing for the wealthy patients and not knowing where they are coming from. It was not too gross and was really suspenseful. I think that the book could be for men just as much as it is for women. No gushy romance involved, just a lot of action.
Next on the list is Life Support by Tess Gerritsen.... I will follow up when I am done reading it :o) OK, off to school the kiddos and to read my new book :o)

OK, I have to add this to Chelle's last post.... these are some funnies from Chelle that are geared towards homeschoolers... my fav one is the one about parents as teachers and the parents thinking they can raise their kids better than daycares... which is NOT far from the truth anymore!!! But that is a whole other issue that I will not debate yet this morning... maybe later, after I have my cup of coffee :o)

Yeah yeah... I have been posting a lot today... it has just been one of those days :o) Do not forget to go check out Geoff and help out his charity event Pub Crawl for Little Hearts. A rather interesting way to raise money for a charity, but hey whatever works :o) Sooo... go over there and sponsor him on his venture....If you get the chance check out the pictures from the Pub Crawl last yr... looks like they had a lot of fun and the baby in the pics is absolutely adorable!!! :o)
I do not know how many of you out there like to cook/bake whatever... I have to say that I have found an AWESOME recipe!!! I LOVE to bake things. I love to do the sweet things and am pretty good at it :o) I normally go to allrecipes.com when I want to find something new and exciting... well I found an awesome recipe for Banana crumb muffins I made them the other night since I had some bananas that were ripe and needed to be eaten or used otherwise, so I used them otherwise and made those muffins. Hubby ate 3 that night and the kids had them for breakfast and requested that I make more... :o) Just thought that I would share the info :o) Another thing that I like about that wensite is you can go in and rate the recipe after you have tried it. Some people make suggestions for alternate ingredients, to use more or less of something, that sort of thing... which is always helpful too!! OK, I am really done now :o)
An update... I added a few other pics. They are of the kids from August when we went to a picnic and then of my baby girl in a traditional Korean outfit. My mom tends to dress all my kids up in the outfits and take pics of them. I will have to see if I can find the ones of the older 2 and scan them in. She has yet to do baby boy but I am sure she will get there soon :o) OK, I am off to school my kiddos!!! :o)
Last night was the older 2 kids skate party with Awana. They had a great time and so did I. It has been a LONG time since I have been on skates!! I was planning on just staying for a little bit to get pictures of the kids then go out shopping.... well, I ended up staying the whole time and skated with my kiddos. I surprised the kids by going and getting my mom and brother and taking them up there with me. My mom and brother did not skate but my brother took the pics for me. I put the pics under the pics link and I if I did it right they should be right in front. There is one pic in there that does not belong but it was too cute for me to pass up. I was looking through the camera yesterday and my little man was sitting on my lap so I took a few pics of him and I thought it was too adorable not to put up there :o) I am sure that I will have more to post later, I am ready for a cup of coffee and a bowl of cereal :o) Have a good one!!!!

I have three words for you, three words that will send chills down your spine, that will make your eyes roll into the back of your head, that makes your stomach turn into a knot.... MOTHER IN LAW I thought that I was done with my earlier post... but I started thinking about Mother in Laws... they are the biggest pain in the butt!! Thank goodness mine lives in Dallas, a good ways away. I know that there are others that are not as fortunate, the only word I have for you is MOVE I recently had TWO MIL's, but my Father in law divorced his wife and so she is not technically my step-MIL anymore.... but we still stay in touch, I love her and respect her as a person and that will not ever change. Then there is the ex-step-MIL. I have one of those too... so technically I have 3 MIL's. My hubbies older siblings mother is my FIL's ex wife who is still close to the family and still have family gatherings with (rather interesting) She is another one that I love to talk to and respect. She actually helped me get a job with her (debt collectors) while we were living in OK . She is a lovely perseon. THEN there is the REAL MIL. My hubbies mom... she is a peice of work. There are times I would love to ask her what in the hell is she thinking and other times I would just love to write her out of our lives... she lies, pity parties herself, lies, makes excuses, lies... did I mention lies?? Which does not go over well with me... then, there is the parenting advice.... that is one thing I cannot stand. There are times I wonder how any of her kids survived and she is trying to give ME parenting advice??? Thanks but NO FREAKIN thank you! What advice should I take?? The one on how to prevent a drunk boyfriend from putting a gun in my child's face??? The one on how to get a quick divorce from hubby number 5 and still mantain that it has not affected my children??? The one on how to meet a man on the internet and MOVE to another state and move in and marry him and NOT tell my teenager about it and say that it does not affect my children??? Or how about leave my children alone with no food, no milk, no electricty to go out with some loser guy??? And then to say that NONE of it is my fault that their dads left them and she had no choice??? OK, yeah, I am going to take parenting advice from her... sure, yeah, talk about your psychologist/psychiatrist bills for why your kids need therapy ( I wonder how my hubby turned out so normal...) Granted, my family is not perfect and I am sure that my mom is a pain in the butt for my hubby and yeah we live really close to my family, but my parents will actually call our home and talk to my hubby instead of me... how sad is that?? :o) My dad will invite my hubby out before he invites me somewhere. My parents have learned that parenting advice is not something that I like, if I have a question I will ASK someone, if not then leave me alone. My 4 kids have managed to live this long with no major issues, I would say that I am doing a pretty good job. Neither of our parents agree with us homeschooling our kids, but that is a choice that we have made and no one will change our minds on that issue.
My MIL has discussed with us a few times about letting our older children come down to TX to visit them for a week... WITHOUT us. Which does not fly with me... MIL and her hubby both smoke, and I do not allow that around my kids, my dad smokes and he has to go outside when in our home and he goes to his office or outside when we are in his home (out of respect for my wishes) then there is the issue of WHO would stay with my kids while they are at work?? She says that she cannot take off the whole week that they are there so they are too young to stay by themselves and I refuse to let some stranger watch my kids. (yes, I know I am an overbearing, protective mother) and to leave my BIL with them would be the same as leaving them by themselves... and on and on... luckily she has not pushed the subject too hard with us and has yet to come through with what she wants so I have not had to tell her that she is out of her freakin mind :o)
OK, now I think I am done... just thought I would throw in the spine chilling, stomach twisting words.... MOTHER IN LAW

It has been an interesting couple of days. Hubby has been working late and not getting home til 10-11 at night. He is exhausted but is really enjoying doing the contract job that he is doing. I cannot go into detail bcuz of what he does, but he really likes it :o) My 2 babies are back to normal and terrorizing the house.
The 2 older ones have a skate party tonite. That should be a blast :o) Then this weekend we have a fun filled weekend. There is a halloween party all day Saturday, in Ill. With lots of fun activities planned for the kids, fishing for the boys, hayride, craft making, etc.... Then Sunday I am going to the AppleButter festival at Kimmswick It is going to be a fun girls day. (If I can just convince a couple of girls to come along HINT, HINT!!) Leah and Deanna and I always try and get to it. I did not get to go last year because of my little man, but that is ok... I will be there this year... and maybe spend twice the money to make up for not going last year, ha ha :o)
The Blues won last night. Which is awesome :o) The Chiefs are still undefeated, which is also really cool :o) Of course I am sticking by my Rams, but the Chiefs are still the shnitz :o) OK, I am sure that I will have more to say later...

Since yesterday was such a good day I knew that today would suck... and suck it did. I took my 2 younger children to the doctors today and between the 2 of them they had 8, yes 8 shots. My poor babies!!! They were both getting caught up on shots and both got the flu shot. It would have been 5 shots a piece if they would not have gotten chicken pox last year, not that I would have gotten that shot anyways. I disagree with the chicken pox shot. I think that it is a bad idea all the way around. I survived it, all my friends survived it...yeah, it was not a fun experience but I would much rather them get it once and be done and over with it.... with the stupid shot you are able to get chicken pox and not get it once but many many times. They say that the cases are much milder, but why not just get it once and be done with it?? Why get the shot then have to risk getting the chicken pox again and again??? NO thanks, so luckily I did not have to deal with that with the doctor, all mine have had the chicken pox and I am done with it :o)
I was going to take a pic of my little Kurt Warner bobblehead tonite but I guess the hubby ran off with the camera tonite :o) We got them free from the game yesterday. Hubby got another contract and will be working some evenings... so it should be interesting around my house for the next couple of weeks. I am not complaining though. It is extra money towards Christmas that I was not expecting :o) plus extra for hubby and I to play with. Well, I am off to soak in a hot bubble bath. Night all!!!

Rams are the SHIT!!!! :o) The football game was awesome. We had an absolutely wonderful time. We opted out of tailgating but it was still a great time!!! It was awesome to see Favre play and to see the CHEESEHEADS LOSE to my AWESOME Rams!!!!! I did not have a Rams jersey ( I will get a jersey sometime, though! Wistrom's hopefully) or any other Rams stuff so I bought some Rams beads and went about my merry way. Our seats were awesome and the view was great!!! There were awesome people all around us, no obnoxious, out of hand fans, just fun RAMS loving people!!! I met up with a girlfriend of mine and her guy friend that were up in the nose bleed, need oxygen area. She was not complaining though... she was just happy to be there... guess hubby and I are too damn spoiled :o) We screamed til we lost our voice, watched the guys through the binoculars, might I add that those guys in those uniforms have the NICEST ASSES!!!!!!!!! :o) Especially looking through the binoculars, up close and personal, some (Wistrom) better than others but DAMN!!! :o) I know you ladies out there can appreciate what I am talking about... and I know the guys have plenty of eye candy with all the cheerleaders in their next to nothing outfits! But that is ok, gotta love 'em... and there are definetely more guys than women there so I can appreciate that. Polley left the game in the second with a dislocated left elbow, which royally sucks! And Lamar Gordon was also hurt and he was taking the place of Faulk, who is also out injured. We have so many players out that it is going to really start hurting us!! I do not think that Archuletta will be back next game either. Of course Marc Bulger is proving to be quite the QB, I really like Warner, but I have to say that Bulger is definetely proving himself over and over!! Ok, I am done for tonite. Time for a shower and a good cold beer while relaxing with the hubby! Everyone have a great night!!

Last night we had a good time making cards! I have uploaded them to my pic area so if you want to see them they are there. It has been a LONG time since I have stamped so it was nice to get back to it. It was relaxing to sit there and do them. I have a LOT more to do but at least I have a few started :o) Today is going to be a busy day as usual. My mom is doing her dance at queeny park today, my dad has his masonic thing tonight that we have to get dressed up for, the kids are at the park doing their hike. And I just found out from hubby that his friend that he shares a PSL with cannot make it to the game so I am getting his ticket and will be going to the game with hubby tomorrow!!! I am sooo excited!!! It is GREEN BAY versus RAMS!!!!!!!!! We will be tailgating in the morning and then enjoying the game tomorrow!!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!!! How I LOVE football!!!! I have not tailgated before so it should be awesome. Hubby and I are not drinkers so that will not be the big deal for us, but we will be with friends and just relaxing so that should be awesome!!! :o) WITH NOOOOO KIDS... you cannot get much better than that :o) In other Sports news... Al MacInnis, the captain of the Blues had eye surgery and they do not know how long he will be out.
My cousin is back in Colorado and living it up... she talks to my aunt every day and has informed us that she has been doing some serious drinking :o) Good for her... she deserves the much deserved break and partying! We are still not sure when she will be able to get home to see us all, but at least she is in the same country and not in harms way!! It is sad to hear that there are still so many troops over there and in harms way, I know that is what they have chosen to do and I greatly appreciate all that they have done and do on a daily basis... God bless all of our troops and you all are in my prayers... but I have to say I thank God for the fact that my cousin is home safe and sound!! That is all for now. I will hopefully have pics from tonite with me all dressed up (which does not happen often) and then I will probably take pics tomorrow at the game!!! WHOO HOOOO ( I am excited can you tell??? ) Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

I am officially DONE with baseball. What a dissapointment last night. I cannot believe that the sox LOST after holding the lead for so long!! I did not want to see the Marlins or the Yankees go to the World Series so I am officially done with baseball this year!! It is Hockey and Football season now!! :o)
Hubby and I were talking last night and the subject came up of the woman that is in FL that is going to starve to death if something does not change soon! I found this website and this one. I personally think that it is horrible for her to have to suffer that way.... Ok, I understand that the husband wants to let go... FINE let go. Get a divorce from her and give her to her parents! Let her parents care for her if that is what they wish to do and it seems so obvious that they do. I am sure that he wants a life and is feeling trapped by a wife that is in a vegatative state. But I think that it is horrible that she will die of dehydration and starvation. We do not even do that crap to people on death row why do it to a woman that has done nothing wrong? Hubby believes that she should be let go... why let her lay there year after year in a vegetative state?? I say it is not something that just her husband should choose. I believe that her parents have a choice in the matter too, it is their CHILD, they are more closely related to her than her husband is! Hubby did not like that... he said so if something were to happen to me, my parents should have a say in what happens to me?? I said yes. They are my parents and if it were to happen to one of our children and they were married I would want the choice too!! Regardless of growing up and getting married you still have your parents!! I am looking at it from a parent standpoint! I would want a choice in what happens to my child!! I think that this proves the point that a Living Will is GOOD!! I have not updated mine in several years and need to now that I have more children.
I have finished reading the book The Sinner by Tess Gerritsen and have to say that was her best book yet. I finished it in a day and it kept my attention the whole time. If you like murder mystery then I suggest you read the series. I am sure that the series is not done yet and cannot wait for the next book. A nun is brutaly murdered and another is in critical condition, during one of the autopsies they find out that the younger nun had recently been pregnant and had had a baby, there are a lot of twists to the book. The best parts of the book are from the M.E.'s POV, a woman that is quite interesting. I hate to give away too much of the book. It has great twists and keeps you wondering who was behind the murders and how they were all connected throughout the book.

Well, the Cubs are out of it... rather depressing. If Boston can just pull it off then I will have someone to root for. If not then I guess I am done with baseball this year. Things are relatively quiet around here. Hubby has been working lots and is getting more and more business. So much so that he is going to have to turn some away or try and juggle even more work.... which I do not think he can do. WIth a full time job and his own business on the side it makes it hard to do! :o) Kids are being kids... the weather has been beautiful, a bit windy but perfect for them to go out and play in.
The Chinese astronaut is back safe and sound... what an amazing feat for the chinese people. Very exciting to know that there are more people ventuirng out and around our awesome space. The grocery strike is still going on. Sounds like some of the union employees are upset because they did not know how long they were talking about being on strike and now some of them want a re-vote. They said they did not know all the details etc... Who knows. It is still a pain and I have passed the strike line with no problems. Plus, I just go to Sam's or Costco and I am done with it... pretty easy. I have to say that the people at the grocery stores are a lot nicer than the ones that are union and worked there. It sucks that I cannot get my deli meats, bakery items, and the hours suck royally. I am one that likes to shop at 10 at night... no stupid people to have to walk around, no lines to wait in... it was nice and the worst part for me about this whole strike.

June
Which month are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
One more thing... do not forget to go to the Chunky website and give support to our Rams at the same time as feeding the hungry!! I would love to see the Rams win this year!!! Click for Cans!! Green Bay is winning and the Rams are in 5th place!! Let's make the Rams first!!! :o)
There is a new link on the side. I have been working on getting pictures uploaded and have managed to get some of them up there. I have a lot of pictures and went through just some of them to get up on the net. Chelle, if you would like to share some of your pics I would be more than happy to put them on there for you :o) I hope that it works and it works the way that I want it to. I am pretty new at all this and have NO idea if I did it right or not :o) Live and learn I guess!!
The Cubs lost to the Marlins... it was horrible!! They were winning 3-0 up then BOOM. Prior pitches for 8 innings and then he goes down hill. they bring in one of the other pitchers and all of a sudden the game is 3-8 in the Marlins favor... they got EIGHT runs in ONE inning. It was horrible and I am very dissapointed!! So they go to game 7 tonite... hopefully the Cubs can pull out of it and WIN!!! I would really like them to go to the World series!! The Sox lost to the Yankees which is also a bog upset. I would love for a Sox~Cubs World Series!!!! If neither one of them make it, I have 0 intrest in the World Series!
China has put their first astronaut into space. I think that is great. I hope that their space program works out for them. Our space program is awesome and I think that we are making a lot of progress with space. I have lots of friends that work at NASA (hubby used to) and they all love their jobs. I have friends that work the International Space Station, Launches and Landings, know a few astronauts in training and think that it is awesome how they are like a great big huge family :o) I am not sure about FL but I know that the Clear Lake area, Texas, (where we used to live) was a tight knit community. If you were not a part of the space program you knew at least a couple of people that were. It was a really neat area.
In local news... there are several schools that have the kids on strike ( another reason to thank God that I homeschool!!) I guess the custodians and others have gone on a sickout and the kids had no water, electricity, bathrooms or food. The kids were given crackers and candy bars for lunch. I am sorry but that is RIDICULOUS! How do you expect these kids to learn without the proper lunches, bathrooms, electricy etc???? I have to agree with the kids going on strike! The St.Louis school system sucks. They have got to do something to fix this issue. I cannot believe that all this is going on. I went to school outside of St.Louis (suburb south of St.Louis) and we never had issues like these and the school district that I was in still do not have these issues. I have to say that I really am very happy that I homeschool my kids and if that were not an option then they would be in the same school district that I was in and if I could afford it I would send them to private school :o) But thank goodness they are not in the St.Louis school district.
Here is the concealed weapons fact sheet for MO. Now, if they would just pass the stinkin law!!! :o)
My mom will be performing again this year in the annual ethnic festival at queeny park. I think that it is really neat that my mom has learned the traditional dances of Korea, the fan dance is my fav., and it is neat to see some of the other dances from other countries. Plus trying out the different foods are awesome! I LOVE to try new and different foods :o) Wow, I had a lot more to say than I thought I would :o)

I have thought about doing a book list and thought that I would do it. Here is a list of books that I have read recently and books that I am intending to read... time permitting :o) I am not big into romance novels, I am more of a suspense/murder/drama type of gal.... romances do not hit home for me :o) I like the suspense and the trying to figure out who did it kind of stuff :o)
I have read:
Soon by Jerry Jenkins
The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen (first in the series)
The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen (second in the series)
Gone for Good by Harlan Coben
Tell No One by Harlan Coben
A Thin Dark Line by Tami Hoag
The Ugly Duckling by Iris Johansen
Four to Score by Janet Evanovich ( did not know that it was in the middle of a series :o) )
That is all I can remember right now. Some I read a while ago. I tend to read in spurts... If I find a good book I have a hard time putting it down then everything around me kind of goes downhill, for some reason my house does not clean itself, dinner does not make itself, the kids do not get the attention they deserve.. that sort of thing :o) So I tend to take a few days between books. I have to say that Harlan Coben is my FAVORITE author with Tess Gerritesen in a close second.
Here is a list of books that I have recently bought, or borrowed, or going to buy but have not read yet...
Life Support by Tess Gerritsen
Harvest by Tess Gerritsen
Gravity by Tess Gerritsen ( I could not choose between the books so hubby bought me all the different titles that they had at Barnes and Noble... gotta love the man!!!!)
Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben (first in a series of 7)
The Stanislaski Sisters by Nora Roberts
The Sinner by Tess Gerritsen ( the 3rd book in the series, Surgeon and Apprentice)
Seven Up by Janet Evanovich (in a series of 9, I think) I have yet to get the other 8 but bought this one bcuz it was on clearance :o)
Ok, I think that does it for my book list...
On to movies.... My hubby is a DVD movie freak... he has to know what is coming out every Tuesday and always manages to get the ones that he wants ( I do not complain, I know my hobby is MUCH more expensive than his) and I do watch them and enjoy some of them, some of them I can do without :o)
The Italian Job... I did not think that I was going to like it, I am not a fan of Mark Wahlberg's but I have to say that the movie was awesome! I really liked the action in this one and the story line was really neat :o)
The Lion King... we bought the Collector's Edition and it comes with some drawings and a book which are all really cool... plus I have always loved the movie... so of course I was happy with it :o)
Identity... that was rather interesting... it had a strange twisted ending
Dreamcatcher. I really wanted this one. I read the book quite a while ago and really wanted to see the movie. It was ok. It followed the book pretty well. Just twisted, like Stephen King :o)
Chicago... I LOVED this one. I LOVE musicals :o)
Animal House... of course that is an old one but the hubby loves this movie... one that I can do without :o)
OK I think that I am done for now!!!

Last night we took our family to Applebee's for dinner. We get there the place is virtually empty, it takes them a few minutes to get us a table big enough to hold 10 people. We finally get seated and our waiter takes another 5 minutes to get to our drink order. We finally get our orders taken and they bring out the food. It took us an hour to get our food. My littlest one by this time is really hungry and is fussing because of it. So I picked him up and he was sitting on my lap when this waitress comes up to my littlest and says "you are spoiled rotten aren't you?? I bet your mommy holds you while you eat, thats why you are sitting on her lap happy now that she picked you up, you look like you are spoiled rotten" I LOOK at this girl and say... Nooooo, my son is NOT spoiled he is HUNGRY we have been here 45 minutes and he wants FOOD, and with 4 kids I do not have time to sit there and HOLD him while he eats. She just looks at me... How I wanted to SLAP the crap out of this little bitch!!! When we finally get our food they set one of the hot skillet plates in front of my grandma who is sitting next to my littlest....well being the fast little guy that he is he GRABS the skilet handle and burns his hand. So at this point I am EXTREMELY pissed off. WHY would you set one of those really hot plates in front of a 15 month old and WHY would you put the handle towards him???? I managed to get to him before he got a good hold of it and grabbed his hand away but he did manage to burn it. His little hand is blistered from the whole ordeal...We will NOT be going back there. By the end of the night I was soo pissed off that I did not want them to sing to my daughter, did not want any birthday celebration, did not eat my food because my stomach was so upset and I was so pissed off. There were 4 tables that came in after us and managed to get there food before us and they heft before we got our food... that shows how shitty the service was. The manager did come over and did give us half off of our food. And kept saying that is not the way the restraunt is normally, they normally have excellent service blah. blah, blah... at this point I just wanted the hell out of there and wanted to go home. So 2 hours after we got there we finally got out of there and came home... No birthday elebration for my birthday girl... but by the time we finally got to our food she was in a rather pissy mood too and did not want to eat and wanted to go home too... so that was our wonderful night out.....
It did get better once we got home and we watched the football game.... The Rams won 36-0. It was a GREAT game. We even got a safety off the Falcons :o) It was a great game and Torry Holt and Marc Bulger did a great job, so did our defense :o) We also watched bits and pieces of the baseball game and I am happy to say that the SOX won :o) WHoo hoooo!!!!!!! The cubbies did not play last night. Hopefully tonite will be the last night and the cubbies will win the series and go on to the World Series along with the Sox!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that everyone has a great day!!!

I almost forgot to add a HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!!!! My daughter is 3 today!! :o) She is still wanting Applebees, so I guess that is where we are headed for her birthday dinner :o) She got all her birthday presents yesterday so she has been a happy little girl today, of course the other 3 are seeing her head spin about her new toys... but I guess that is expected. The youngest one has only been ran over a few times with the new toys, I guess that would be a success too, I was expecting a few more tire marks on the kid (she got a toy stroller, playpen, carseat set along with other stuff) Spoiled rotten comes to mind :o) Don't forget to root for the RAMS tonite!!! :o) Gotta LOVE Monday Night football!!
They came They saw They took no prisoners Well the inlaws came and have gone. It was a short visit. They showed up Friday nite and left last nite. And sweet providence was smiling upon me as my oldest daughter fell asleep before they dropped us off, which means I did not have to defend my position as "over-protective daughter-in-law". HALLELUJIA!!! There was a time when I was happy (sorta) to hear they were coming to visit. Now, it is more a sense of dread. Dreading their departure. You see, we have an ongoing battle of wills now. My MIL is DESPARATE to take my oldest daughter home with them "to visit". This is never something that has been discussed rationally or any attempt made to plan such an event, it is always a last minute guilt-fest, in which I am made out to be "mean-Mommy-who-won't-let-us-have-any-fun". The reasons are many and various as to why I don't want her to visit but no one will hear me. They are trying to break me down. They turn my own kids against me. But I am the Mommy. They may succeed at making me do back flips many times for many other ridiculous reasons. But again, I am The Mommy, and cutesy name aside, this means I am the Boss. And when it comes to my kids I refuse to compromise. ( this sounds so good, I just hope I can believe it myself) But once again, THANK YOU GOD, no high-drama!!! (HUGE sigh of relief)
Good day to you all! :o) I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Best friend and I went to dinner before going scrapbooking Friday night... we decided to try the new Chinese restraunt that is by my house. It was not good, most of the stuff had a really strange taste to it not the "normal" chinese food taste. They had a lot of seafood, which I normally LOVE, but it was all gross, I did not know that you could screwup crab legs, but they managed to do it. We did have frog legs. :o) My best friend had never tried them and thought that it would be funny to tell her husband that she ate kermits legs :o) I have had them before, but it has been a long time, they were ok... Oh, and the biggest kicker was the sushi, I LOVE sushi, especially when my mom makes it, I tried one of theirs and it was absolutely disgusting. I did not think that you could screw up sushi, but they did!! So needless to say, we will not be going back to that place.
I picked up my daughters bday cake on Saturday.. it was really really cute. It was Dora the Explorer. The bakery was packed when I got there. I guess ppl are really adjusting to not having the grocery stores bakery. Of course we pay a whole heck of a lot more. I cannot believe that I spent $40 on a birthday cake... but it was great and everyone loved it :o) If I can figure out how to post pictures I will get some up here. We got all the kids their halloween costumes... The oldest son is going to be a soccerball (really cute mask that is a soccerball) The oldest daughter is going to be Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, The youngest daughter is going to be Eyeore and the youngest boy is going to be a cow :o)
In other news, the KC Chiefs are still UNDEFEATED!!!! It was an absolutely awesome game. They came back from one heck of a deficit and won it in OT. Which was awesome :o) The Rams play tonight, which should be a good game. Of course I am rooting for my home team :o) They BETTER win against Atlanta!! In other sports news.... The Cubs are one win away from going all the way! I am soo excited! I really want them in the World Series!! I think the best series would be a Cubs/ Soxs series. Then to see the Cubs win the World Series!!! The Blues also won yesterday... I did not see that game though... too many sports going on :o)
Hubby just got another contract for another website... which is awesome. He has been working really hard :o) Of course it is really really time consuming but he loves to do it and the sites are looking great. He is almost finished with one and about half way done with the other one. He is also building a site for my parents on the side in whatever time he can. I have to say that I am one lucky lady :o) I love my man so much!!!
I just read on CNN that there is another grocery strike going on in CA. They have a whole heck of a lot more employees there than we do here in MO. Still it is a pain in the butt!! Then there is still the issue of the concealed weapons law... Which I think is ridiculous. They just need to pass it into law. What is the big deal??

I was laying in bed watching the baseball game last night while hubby was working on his laptop.... Then I thought to my self... why am I even watching this game?!?! My hometeam is not in it (Cardinals) and my second favorite team is not in it (Astros) and my third fav team is not playing tonite (Cubs) But there I was rooting for the Sox... Why I do not know... I do not know anything about the Sox, I know a little about the Yankees but there I was rooting for the Sox....How weird is that? Guess I want the underdog to win :o) How strange would it be to have the Sox and Cubbies in the World Series?? I never thought that the Cubbies would even make it, I thought for sure they were going to screw it up, like they always do and it would be the Astros or Cards in there... but noooo, Cubbies did not screw up and here they are 1 and 1 with the Marlins... I really hope that the Cubs go all the way!! I think that would be great! Especially since they have not been there since 1909. (If I remember that correctly) I have no idea about the Yankees or Sox... but I am rooting for the Sox :o) Ok enough about sports :o)
In other News... there is a Grocery Strike going on around here... I am personally ticked off about it. I have never belonged to a union and they all seem like they are a great big pain in the ass!! Because they cannot agree to the contracts they striked at the local Shop n Saves and the other 2 stores locked their employees out. Since this has happened the stores are only open from 10-7 and the bakeries are closed, the seafood and meat counters are closed and you are limited to what time you shop. This royally pisses me off! I do not care about their stupid strike, I do not care that they are not getting the pay raise they want (they should be happy that they HAVE a job) I am ticked that it is a total inconvience to the consumers. Oh, and on top of it the Union leaders do not want you to go to Wal-Mart to buy your grocerys.... ok, so you strike the grocery stores in town and want us to go to the really expensive mom and pop places and do not want us to go to wal-mart where they do not charge an arm and a leg??? Union ppl... you can KISS MY ASS!!! You made the situation... do NOT tell me where I should and should not go!! I will go wherever I can get my dang groceries so that I can feed my family, I WILL cross a picket line if I have to, my FAMILY comes first and I do NOT give a shit about your stupid strike!!! This is the 3rd day of the strike... which means the 3rd day that the grocery workers are not getting paid... is it worth it ppl???? This strike could go on for weeks!! Was it worth it for the raise that you wanted?? GRRRRRR ok I am done with that now :o)
Here is an interesting story for you.... It is a Haunted House that is not permitting anyone younger than 17 into it... for their sexually explicit material... One scene shows two women touching each other's arms and legs and then kissing on the shoulders and neck. The scene ends with the simulated cutting of a man's genitals. Yeah... hmmm.. NOT something that I would go to. WHY would you want to go there?? Haunted Houses ares supposed to be fun, I never would have imagined one with sexually explicit material... people and their warped minds!!
Tonight I go out to dinner with my best friend and other girlfriend and then scrapbooking WHOO HOOO :o) Tomorrow night hubby and I are going out (WITHOUT kids) with one of my girlfriends, Sunday we are having a birthday party for my baby girl and Monday we are taking her to Applebees for dinner. The kid has a major obsession with the place. We have been there ONCE and now every time she sees the place she wants to go, we drive by one and she screams out APPLEBEES and then starts demanding that we go there RIGHT NOW. It does not matter if we just finished eating... she wants to go there. So that is where she is going for her birthday dinner... my kids are so strange :o) Most 3 yr olds would choose McD's but nooo my kid wants Applebees and my oldest son... you would think that he would have picked something like ChuckE Cheeses or something fun... he chose Cracker Barrell and my other daughter wanted to stay home and have me make dinner, which was fine with me, I do not mind doing that, we had fun with it. Oh, well... the strange behaviors of my children :o) I hope that the rest of you have a great Weekend!! :o)

I found this rather interesting.... I do not know how accurate it is... but it was kind of cool :o)
AWESOME NEWS!!!! My cousin that was in Iraq is back in the United States... she arrived a few days ago and was in Boston... Now she is back in Colorado where she was stationed before going to Iraq... I am VERY VERY Excited and EXTREMELY happy!!! I Thank God for all the troops that are still in Iraq serving this country, but I have to say that I am more than happy that my cousin is back and will not be going back there! Hopefully she will get some leave and get to come home for a little bit before getting out for good. Now, if only we can hurry up and finish doing what we have to do in Iraq (which I know will not be an easy or quickly accomplished thing) and get the rest of our troops home! Thank you to all the service men and women out there!!
My first post on my own :o)
Well, this is my first time blogging under my own blog. I am excited and will try and not be here too long. Hubby is going to set me up a blog, I suck at the techinical side of computers... I do what I need to on a computer and the rest is up to the hubby. When, is the question for the hubby on when I will get my own site :o) I am here and I can blog that is all that counts. I am not in too big of a hurry :o) I will hopefully have some other people blogging with me. My cousin is back in the states and as soon as I get a chance to talk to her I am going to ask her to blog here and there is one other person that I have asked. So we will see :o)
How awesome is the thought of a male contraceptive?? I am thinking that it is absolutely wonderful. I read about it on MSNBC the other day and was ecstatic! FINALLY something else for the guys! From what I read it will drop a guys sperm count to zero. No more of guys saying that a woman trapped him without him knowing that she was not using some sort of birth control, HE will finally have control of that! No more of the woman having to be the only one that worries about the contraceptive and the mood swings and the weight gain and every other little side effect from whatever contraceptive she is using. It is the guys turn!! Of course I brought this up to the hubby and the first thing out of his mouth was No Thank You.... I asked him why the heck not and he said in return that they have not been testing it long enough and should test it a lot more before offering it. I in turn told him that it was a wonderful idea that they are creating something like this and think that guys should jump at it! What is wrong with the guy taking responsibility for it? I told him that I had tried something fairly new, why can't he?? (I am on the ring) Of course my number one option for the hubby would be the vasectomy.... now if I can just talk him into it!! :o)
Anways, about a week ago my ex-step-mother-in-law called me and told me that she had some mail for me. She said that she had heard that there was a settlement over a company that I used to work for and she thinks that it is a check, can she get my address and send it to me? I told her great, thanks I would appreciate it. So I give her our address and forget all about it... then yesterday comes... We get the mail and there it is.... the check that she had told me about. I am thinking oh, yeah it is probably $2 for some stupid thing. I had no idea about the lawsuit or that I was even a part of it. My hubby opened it and it was an awesome check! I was sooo excited!! I will not say the exact amount, but lets just say that it was a lot more than $2!!! :o) So I went to google and did a search on the company to see what was going on with everything. I had not heard about any of it because I live in MO and everything that is taking place is in OK. So, I find a story about the guy that scammed everyone. Seems he is in quite a bit of trouble. I have to say that I loved the job when I worked there. It was debt collecting, it was an awesome job I loved diong it ( I was a NICE debt collector) He made it awesome for us employees. We only had to pay $1 for health insurance, child care was free for his employees with a daycare right in the same building that we were in, he took the company on trips.... everything was awesome (too good to be true, would be the exact way to put it) And it turns out the guy is a fraud. We all lose our jobs and that was that. I moved on. Did not even know that I was included in the lawsuit against him. Then I get this check... cool :o) I have to say that I do not regret working there. I loved the job and worked for another company doing the same thing. I have been called every name in the book and then some, I have been proposed to, I have been offered trips by guys that owe money... etc etc... people never cease to amaze me :o) Definetely something that I was good at and something that I loved :o) Ok, I think that is it for now :o) I hope everyone has a great day!!!!!!!!!
