Matt, Me and Allen at Olive Garden Posted by Hello

We met up at Olive Garden and had a wonderful dinner with Matt, his wife Sara, Allen, his fiancee Sharla, Julia, her boyfriend, and of course hubby and I. Matt is one of my very best friends, Allen is the one that lives in Dallas that I have not seen in 10 yrs. It was awesome catching up with Allen and what he has been doing. Still a nut :o) and seeing Matt and Sara again was awesome. Allen gets married in June so we will either make the trip to Dallas or wait for him to come home for his second reception. Sara and I are going to make a playdate for all of our kiddos, chuck e cheeses, that should be lots of fun!!! Here is the link to the rest of the pics from that night.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Ours was wonderful. The kids got lots and lots of toys and the stuff they wanted. Hubby got a lot of the stuff he wanted, he is goin to start getting his golf clubs, they are rather expensive so it will be a progressive thing :o) I got a Diamond and Sapphire necklace to go with my sapphire and diamond bracelet. We also got a DOG!!!! :o) My brother got a Rat Terrier the other day and we got a Jack Russell Terrier from the same Breeder. She is 14 weeks old and SOOOOO CUTE!!!!! We named her Sierra. Here are the CHristmas pics. Sierra is in some of the pics. She is the one with the black head. My brothers dog is also in some of the pics. He has a white strip down the middle of his head. Sierra is also bigger than my brothers dog, Rufus. That was our CHristmas. It was incredible and we have soo much to be thankful for...I hope that everyone else was as blessed as we are!!!! :o)

Something Matt sent me:

A group of professional people posted this question to a group of 4 to 8 year olds. "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

********** When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.
Rebecca- age 8
************ When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different You just know that your name is safe in their mouths.
Billy- age 4
************ Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.
Kari- age 5
************ Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French Fries without making them give you any of theirs.
Chrissy- age 6
************ Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.
Terri- age 4
************ Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.
Danny- age 7
************ Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.
Bobby- age 7 (wow!)
************ If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate. Nikka- age 6
Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.
Noelle- age 7
************ Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.
Tommy- age 6
************ During my piano recital, I was on stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.
Cindy- age 8
************ My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.
Clare- age 6
************ Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken.
Elaine- age 5
************ Love is when mommy sees daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.
Chris- age 7
************ Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day. Mary Ann- age 4
************ When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.
Karen- age 7
************ You really shouldn't say "I LOVE YOU" unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.
Jessica- age 8
************ And the winner was a 4 year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man's yard and climbed on top of the man's lap and just sat there. When the boy's mother asked him what he'd said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Only 2 days left!!!! :o) The kids had a Christmas last night, my Mother in law sent her package and it was HUGE, so we decided to go ahead and do her presents last night. Hubby got some cologne and some boxer shorts. I got a beautiful set of wine glasses and wine glass charms. The kids loved all their gifts and my MIL sent some of granny's things to hubby. So it was a bitter sweet Christmas for him. Granny had some awesome paintings that she had done and my MIL sent one to hubby. She also sent quite a few little mementos that granny had loved. She also made a scrapbook for each of the grandkids of granny. Which really brought a tear to my hubbies eyes. Overall it was a wonderful evening.
Well, tonite is our get together with Matt, his wife, Allen and his fiancee and I found out the other day that another old friend, Brian, will also be there. I will be sure to take pics of tonite. I am so excited to see all of them. Its been a while since I have seen Matt, and I have not seen Allen or Brian for almost 10 yrs. Allen and I have managed to stay in Email contact with over that time and send pics to each other once in a while so I know what to expect with him but I have not seen Brian since high school so I have no idea what to expect from him. I have no clue what he has been up to or anything. Allen works at Radica games and is a creator of games for the company, he loves his job. A few years ago he sent pics of his office, filled with TVs and every game system. He gets all the game systems BEFORE they hit the market along with the games. Yeah, he has a really hard job :o) Well, I am off to start my morning.

4 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!!! :o) I love NOT being in the rush of having to buy presents but I have to say that ppl that are still in the rush are ASSHOLES. I still have to go to the store for general things that I need for the house and goin to Walmart SUCKS. I went at 9 pm last night HOPING that it would not be crowded that all the Christmas shoppers would be home so that I could get the household items that I needed. NO SUCH LUCK!!! And they get BITCHY that late!!! Ok ppl lets go over this, YOU HAVE 364 days to SHOP FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! Granted you do NOT need all those days, but Christmas is a CONSTANT, IT HAPPENS EVER F**KIN YR!!!! So get a list together and TRY and get some shopping done before you get to the asshole stage and get some of it done!!!
I have a method to my madness, I surf the net and get an idea of the stuff that I am going to get, then hubby and I go to Sams and Costco and get more ideas, make a list and go back and buy what we want. Its a really simple concept and gets us in and out of a store in NO time. Of course there are other things that we pick up on the way and improvise on things we cannot find but over all its a simple process and keeps us from being ASSHOLES while we shop!!!
I did buy something late, just the other day I was watching Home Shopping Network, yes, I am weird and saw a keyboard that I had to have!! It is absolutely awesome, the keys light up so that you can play the keyboard and it is also a karaoke machine. I think it will be an awesome way to teach the kids how to play the keyboard and the fact that it is a karaoke is a bonus. My kids love to karaoke so they will get a huge kick out of it. Spent quite a bit more than I wanted to this Christmas on the kiddos, $400 for just 2 of the presents, but I think we will have happy campers ;o)
My weekend was wonderful, Saturday was our all day scrapbookin crop. We had a GREAT time. 12 hours of scrapbooking, life does not get any better :o) I managed to get 14 pages done. We also had a gift exchange and that was awesome too. There were a lot of really awesome gifts. And of course food, food and more food :o) Leah, Darla, and I got together for breakfast at IHOP before scrapbooking. Deanna was supposed to meet us, but she is ALWAYS late and did not end up making it. Then on Sunday I scrapbooked some more and then we had dinner with my mom and dad and watched the Rams LOSE :o(

Friday, December 17, 2004

I am sitting here watching the news and it really tends to piss me off. I do not get Unions, I do not understand WHY ppl PAY to be a part of them THEN go on strike when they tell them too. LOSING their PAY cuz the UNION told em to go on strike!! There are a few different one going on here and I just DONT get it!!! There is a Nurse strike going on at one of the hospitals and now there is a teacher one that is supposed to start. The nurse one does not make me happy but the teacher one REALLY pisses me off!! Kids are OFF school for 3 FREAKIN MONTHS. Tell me WHY they cannot discuss their "contracts" in those 3 months????? Instead they take the time DURING the school year when our CHILDREN are the ones HURT by their stupidity!!!! It is just STUPID!!! And to think, people QUESTION why I homeschool my kids!!!! So their is a threat of strike and kids will not have their teachers, sure they can get subs, but it totally disrupts a classroom and the way children learn. As if our kids are not far enough behind in the school systems now add the STUPID unions to screw em up even more. I personally think unions just need to GO AWAY!!!! OK, done with that rant :o)

I want to say congrats to my girlfriend Bev, she just got a job to become a police dispatcher!! CONGRATS SWEETIE!!!!! And Best of Luck!!!! :o)

8 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS!!!! ! :o)

Friday, December 10, 2004

Just wanted to say a congrats to my ex. He is getting married today. I hope that this one works out!!!! :o)

Thursday, December 09, 2004

Things are fairly calm around here. Last night we went to Red Lobster for dinner with hubbies new bosses. Rob and Brian were also there with us. They are AWESOME ppl and I think that they will work PERFECTLY together. Hubby has started working with them on some projects and has really started figuring out how he is goin to organize his part of what he is going to do. We went back to their house, which is where the office is at the moment, and I got to play with their 4 Great Danes. I was in HEAVEN!!!! I LOVE those dogs and these dogs are WONDERFUL!!!! Their names are Cherokee, Liberty, Abby and Zeus, and Zeus is HUGE. He comes up to my chest in height. He can drink out of the kitchen sink by just sticking his head in the sink. They are all very loving and so sweet. I saw the office space they have and then we went over to where their new office is going to be. I am very excited for what my hubby is going to be doing with them.
Other than that things are great. Finalizing plans to meet up with a friend I have not seen since High School. He is coming into town with his fiancee and we are going to get together with Matt and his wife while he is home for Christmas. Excited to see them :o)

Today is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor... Not too many of those old vets around. I remember the stories from my grandpa and from an uncle that endured it. To those of you that are still around, my thanks and gratitude to you and utmost respect. God Bless!!!

Men are the HARDEST ppl to buy for!!!! My hubby is not all that bad since he likes so many different things. The bad part is if he wants it he normally BUYS it when he sees it. My dad is the WORST person to buy things for. He is a lot like my hubby, but minus the games and stuff my hubby likes. My hubby thought to buy him a laser level. So he finds 2 different kinds and buys them for him for Christmas... THEN we find out he bought one of the ones we got him... gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... so now we have to think something else up. Oh yeah and NOT to forget... EVERYTHING IS WRAPPED. So now I get to UNWRAP it too!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
We had a pretty quiet weekend. Hubby worked a lot this weekend. Friday night we met my best friend at Red Robin for dinner and we were supposed to go have cake with her at her sister in laws house and were not able to. We were supposed to pick my hubbies wedding ring up from Zales, so we went to get it and it turns out its in WORSE shape then when we took it in. One of his sapphires was loose and they were supposed to tighten it, well they did not do it and ended up BREAKING the stone. Then told us they would replace it and to pick i up Saturday. Hubby went to get it Saturday and they told us they could not fix it. That we were screwed. HUbby was sooo pissed he took the ring back to the original store we bought it from. They replaced the ring with a NEW one and gave him a discount on something else. He ended up buying me my anniversary present. Its a BEAUTIFUL Sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet. It is absolutely breathe taking and I love it!!!! And being my hubby he cannot wait to give it so I got it a few weeks early :o)
Then we went and met with his friend Rob Saturday night and watched some football. GOOOO OU!!!!! :o) Then Sunday went over to a GFs house to make Christmas cards. Have 40 done about 25-30 to go. That was about the extent of our weekend :o) I hope everyone elses was good!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST FRIEND!!!!! LOVE YA SWEETIE!!!!!!! :o)

Some of you know the connection I have to the Freemasonry. My friend Matt sent this to me and I thought that it was a wonderful share. Matt is a Mason and LOVES it, along with my hubby, dad, uncle, and grandpa. I was a part of the girls youth orignization a long time ago and hope to get my daughters into the orginization someday. Matt was also part of the guys youth orginization . My uncle, dad, and granpa belong to an assortment of the different branches including: Heros of 76, York Rite, Scottish Rite, and of course the Blue Lodge. There are several branches to some of these and I know that I will screw up WHICH branches they have all belonged to so I will the bigger of them. Here is the link to the Grand Lodge of Missouri. It is a great originization and I loved being a part of it. So does the rest of my family. Anyways, here is the article Matt sent me. Thought that it was a good read :o)

Dwindling Freemasons hope to attract new blood

By Mark Hazlin, USA TODAY

Freemasons say reports that they're trying to take over the country are greatly exaggerated.

But they are having a recruitment drive.
The Free and Accepted Masons, a fraternal organization whose roots may stretch back to the Middle Ages, has long been a popular target of conspiracy theorists. It figures prominently in the movie National Treasure.
Nicolas Cage's character learns about a legendary treasure protected by the Freemasons, the location of which is hidden in a map etched on the back of the Declaration of Independence.
The movie perpetuates both good and bad stereotypes about the group, including the notion that it has been involved in a centuries-old plot to run the country.
Freemasons are now trying to change those perceptions with advertising and public relations campaigns. And, for the first time, some Masonic lodges are engaging in recruitment drives.
Historians say the modern era of Freemasonry began in England in the early 18th century as a union of stonemasons. Others link the Freemasons' origins to medieval times, as far back as the Crusades and the infamous Knights Templar.
Conspiracy theorists often cite circumstantial evidence to support their belief that Freemasons secretly wield great power and influence. According to Freemason Web sites, nine of the Founding Fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence were members, as were 14 U.S. presidents, eight vice presidents and at least 35 Supreme Court justices.
Members have historically shunned publicity; they use symbols and rituals that members vow not to reveal; and they hold closed meetings. The story goes that President Theodore Roosevelt, a member, couldn\'t even get his Secret Service agents in. \\r\n\"We prefer to use the word \'private\' instead of \'secret,\' " says Robert Leonard, a public relations specialist hired to help recruitment efforts. "Secrecy came from the initial thing where a password or secret handshake was exchanged so people would know they were professional stonemasons. Now we use it as part of our tradition."\\r\n\Grand Master Richard Fletcher, executive secretary of the Masonic Services Association in Washington, D.C., points to the organization\'s charitable work. He says Freemasons raise about $750 million annually nationwide for nursing homes, day care centers, educational facilities and other programs. "That\'s a lot of money (just) to lull somebody into thinking you are a good person," Fletcher says. \\r\n\But officials may be more concerned with their membership numbers than their Hollywood image. Organization data show that U.S. membership peaked in 1959 at 4.1 million. New York Grand Master Edward Trosin says: "We had this huge quantum leaps-and-bounds growth in World War II. ... It was a generation of joiners."\\r\n\That number has dropped steadily over the years to about 1.6 million this year, many of them older members. To refill the ranks, Masons are looking to appeal to the 21-to-55 age group, says New Jersey Grand Master Daniel Wilson. \\r\n\To do so, lodges in New York and elsewhere are taking steps such as cutting the year-long initiation procedure, in which members must pass the first three (of 33) Masonic "degrees," down to a two-week course. California has launched two support programs intended to help its 355 individual lodges sign up at least five new members each year.\\r\n\But the organization will change only so much. The one key requirement is that each man must believe in one Supreme Being, "the Grand Architect of the Universe."\\r\n\In most lodges, women are excluded from the inner sanctum, although there are affiliated organizations that women can join such as The Order of the Eastern Star. \\r\n\"I don\'t think you\'d want to change the organization just to fit the times," Leonard says. "Brotherhood is an important part of being a Mason."\\\\\",1]

HEY ALL!!! Tis the Season for Giving!!! Go on over to Dog Snot and contribute!!! My best friend, Jolynn, and I adpoted a soldier to send stuff to and of course to Jolynns hubby that is stationed in Iraq now. You can also go and adopt your own soldier if you wish. Here is the site that we adopted our soldier from. We have to support our guys and gals that are not goin to be able to spend the holidays with their families. That are overseas risking their lives as we go about our lives enjoying the freedoms they provide. So be a good samaritan this Christmas season and do what you can for those we hold so close to our hearts.
I have 90% of my shopping done, wrapped and ready for a tree, that we dont have yet :o) We decided on an XBox for all the kids this yr as their ALL together present. So I still have to buy each of the kids a game and a few other little things. Hubby is goin to get golf clubs and everyone else is taken care of... wow the relief of buying presents :o) I made my MIL a charm bracelet that I think she is goin to love and hubby has to figure out his brother. 18 yr old kids... what do you get em??? Oh, well it will get figured out.

Our trip to Dallas was a good one. We got to say our final good bye to granny. Plus, we got closer to some of my hubbies side of the family that we are not close to at all. His sister and our nephew rode down to Dallas with us. She also brought her little dog. We left at 5 in the evening on Friday and got there at 5 in the morning on Saturday. We just took the youngest of our kiddos with us and he did WONDERFUL. Did not complain and was a happy camper on the ride down and home. We sat by granny's bedside, got to talk to her and just be with her. She quit eating the day before and did not eat or drink anything the whole time we were there. We left on Monday and there really was no change in granny. She hung on til this last Friday and passed away around 1 in the morning. Which is a blessing that she did not pass away on Thanksgiving. CLOSE but she didnt. My hubbies grandpa passed away on Thanksgiving and my mother in law was scared that her mother would do the same, but thank goodness she didnt. Granny went 8 days with no food or water. Which according to hospice is the longest of any of their patiences they have ever had.
We got to visit with a lot of hubbies family while we were there. Ryan, Angela, Rich, Jeanne, Trish and Phillip and of course my mother in law, Jim and Beau were all there. My brother in law did a lot of growing up in the last year and is a wonderful guy. I have a lot of pictures from our trip. We also stopped by my father in laws on our way home, since we had to drop my sister in law off anyways.
That was our trip in a nutshell. Nothing exciting, just being with granny and family.
We love you granny and we will miss you!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, November 19, 2004

Hubby, Littlest one, and I are are off to Dallas. Seems that granny is finally letting go. Hospice has been with her everyday and they have said that she probably will not make it to Thanksgiving, so it looks like its time to say good-bye to her. She is the sweetest lady. I have always adored granny. This will be a very hard thing for us. The older kiddos are going to stay with my parents since it is such a quick trip. We are stopping in Tulsa to pick up my Sister in law and my nephew.
In lighter news... I got the game I have been wanting. Its called DDR or Dance Dance Revolution. It has a dance mat and you do dance steps to techno music. It is also a GREAT workout, which I NEED!!! :o) My best friends hubby has the game and the day that I was there scrapbooking I tried it out and decided I had to have one too!!! :o) So the other night we all went to Olive Garden for dinner and then went looking for it and for ideas for the kids Christmas. We got a few good ideas for the kids and I found my game and dance mat I wanted!!!! Hubby also got the Call of Duty game that he has been wanting. So now we are both happy campers :o)

Can you believe Thanksgiving is a little over a week away??? I am STUNNED. I have sooo much to do before Christmas and wonder if I am going to get it all done! Hubby and I decided that we were going to stay home for Thanksgiving. Going to fry a turkey this year... (this should be interesting) We bought the turkey, fryer and oil last night. Plus some of the other little things and going to get the rest of the stuff this weekend.
I have some of my shopping done for Christmas, I am still working on my album for my grandparents. I have done over 70 pages and would love to get about 100 done and get it into an album for Christmas. My grandpa is supposed to be out of the rehab center by this weekend. So it will be good to have him home for the holiday.
As far as my friends blogging... I still talk to them all on a daily basis... Jen is busy with her baby girl, Jeff (odie) is busy working, Laura has a job and it is kicking her ass, Rich is still with his woman, but she is leaving this week, so we will see if he is back or not :o)
Alright, I am outta here, have a great day all!!!

My weekend was INCREDIBLE!!! :o) Friday night Kris and I went to the Mills mall and hung out. Shopped for clothes for her kiddos. Then of course we went to Walmart and wandered around there and then to Kriegers to sit and actually TALK. :o) Had a great time just enjoying each others company. It had been a while since we had gone out and it was awesome to sit and catch up. Then on Saturday morning I went to my best friends to scrapbook. We did not get too much scrapbooking done but we did get lots of TALKING done. (are you seeing a patern?? I am) :o) We went out to lunch and then we got back and we danced.. yes, we danced...her hubby has this cool DDR game for the PS2. Its his fault we got to dancing. There are these dance mats and you follow the arrows and learn dance moves... I realize.. I SUCK at dancing like that!!! Leah and I danced for over an hour, her hubby did some dancing with us, but for the most part made fun of Leah and I. Came home for dinner and vegged with my hubby. Then yesterday hubby and I went to the FOOTBALL GAME!!!!! It was AWESOME!!!! Our friend Lan was nice enough to let us have his ticket too. He was not goin to go to the game but ended up coming with some other friends of ours. We got downtown around 11 and tailgated with our friends and went in for the game a lil early. I got to see Grant Wistrom. He has a broken bone in his leg so he was in street clothes. He seems to be doin good and he did get a standing ovation and cheers. It was an INCREDIBLE game. I had a blast. As usual. Then after the game we went back to celebrate some more. I have pictures and will get them up, hopefully tomorrow. We got a new camera so hubby was tryin it out and now I need to go in and SHRINK the pictures. Then we went back to my parents house and had dinner... It was a really relaxing weekend. I got to spend it with 3 of my favorite ppl and got a chance to get away from the kiddos. :o) Cant ask for anything better than that. Ok, back to dinner... I will Blog more later!!! Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!!!!!

WHOOOHOOOO BUSH!!!!! :o) I am so very happy with the elections. Bush winning, Matt Blunt winning, the gay marriage admendment, the whole situation. Both my parents voted Bush, I am very proud of them for realizing the truth and voting for Bush. I have yet to talk to my grandpa to see how his reaction is to the whole situation but it should be interesting. Along with the rest of my deomacratic family.
I do think that Kerry gave a good concession speech and happy that he did not drag out the process or contest the votes. I have to say that I grew a wee bit of respect for him when I watched his speech... JUST A LITTLE, not enough to make me respect, respect him, but enough to realize that wow, he is a human.

Halloween was a lot of fun. Leah and I went to the Apple Butter festival in Kimmswick and she got me started on the italian charm braclets that have been the fad for a long time. I never really had any intrest in them but the Apple Butter festival had LOTS of booths with these silly charms so I have bought a bunch of them. I bought all my childrens names and will have to order my hubbies name since he has an unusual name, I bought a Korean flag one for me and for my mom. A republican elephant, I love scrapbooking, I love my hubby, and an angel charm. We had a great time just wandering around the festival then we went to her sister in laws. When I got home we carved all the kids pumpkins. My oldest did his own and it turned out great. He did a wonderful job. The other 3 helped out with theirs and they all ended up really neat. We took the kids trick or treating in the neighborhood and then we took them up to the rehab center to see my grandpa and to my grandparents house to see my grandma. They had a great time and got a lot of candy. We also have a LOT left over since there were not all that many kids from the neighborhood. I will add pictures of stuff when I get a chance.
I finally got a chance to help out with the Bush.CHeney campaign on Friday night. It was for a couple of hours and was really neat. I made over 160 calls in about 2 1/2 hours. The precentage of ppl that I actually talked to were Bush supporters and only a few were hang ups. It was really a cool experience and I hope to get to do more at some point. DONT FORGET TO GET OUT AND VOTE TOMORROW!!!! :o) GOOOO BUSH!!!!!
Well on a sad note, the funeral for my friend is today. I talked to my girlfriend that went to the viewing yesterday and she said it was really sad to see our friend in the state she was in. It will be like a neighborhood reunion. Most of us have stayed in touch and if we havent then we have heard about the other from someone else that has stayed in touch. Its amazing to think we all grew up together and still stay in touch and still care about one another. Even after all these years. Well, I have to get ready for the funeral. I will update later when I get a chance.

OK, so the Cardinals CHOKED in the World Series. BUT, they are still an incredible team and I am very proud of them for getting as far as they did.
My grandpa is still in the rehab center and his strength is improving each day. It has been a long hard road for him and still is. The dialysis treatments are not as smooth sailing as we had all hoped. He hates laying there for 4 hours with nothing more than a little tv and hates the after effect. His doctor has him losing weight when he goes into dialysis and that is exactly what he does. He lost 8 lbs in a 4 hour period from one of his dialysis treatments and the aftermath was horrible. He was in so much pain afterwards that his hands cramped up to the point that he could not move them and then it coursed through his body so that his whole body ached. Which was NOT something that the doctors talked to him about.
He did ask a favor of me, and it was a HUGE one. He asked me to find out about absentee voting. Mind you, my grandparents are DEMOCRATS. I found out the information for his ballot and even went and filled out the paperwork and had it sent to him. ALL so my grandpa can vote against me :oP As much as I hate the fact that he is voting for Kerry I cannot deny him his right to vote. He got his ballot in the mail yesterday and has filled it out and mailed it back. Yes, I am a traitor. But every person has their right. Even my democratic grandparents :o)
A couple of shocking things happened yesterday... One being, A girlfriend that I grew up with died yesterday. She has had ovarian cancer for quite some time and went into remission and had some really bad pains and had gone to the hospital the other night and died yesterday morning. She was only 35. Its a shocking realization that someone I have known most of my life is gone and at such an early age. Her funeral is on Monday. Then the second shock of the day was a call from my cousin. She is the one that is in the Army and the one that went to Iraq. Well, she got married a couple of weeks ago and is pregnant. Well, she has a few yrs left in the Army and her hubby does too. The chances of her hubby going BACK to Iraq is great and it will probably be around the time the baby is born, and of course my cousin is still active, so she called me and asked if I would take care of the baby IF her and her hubby were both called away. I was rather shocked at first but felt honored that my cousin would think of me over everyone else. She wants her mother to do it, but she is really not able to do it. Healthwise she is just not able to do it. The chances of both of them being sent away at once are pretty slim but the Army does require that she has someone to watch the baby. So, looks like I could have another baby to take care of at some point. But something that I am willing to do for my cousin.
That is the latest news in my life. Hubby is at a Scottish Rite function with my dad. I have to say I LOVE the way my hubby looks in a tux!!! I will have to add a pic of him when I get a chance to take one :o)

Open Letter to Americans from a Senior Citizen .

To All American Voters,
I am a senior citizen. During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job. I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes. Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse. I lost my job. I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War. I lost my homes. I lost my health insurance. As a matter of fact I lost virtually everything and became homeless. Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me. I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year. Bush has to go. I just thought you would like to know how one senior citizen views theBush Administration. Thank you for taking time to read my letter.

Sincerely,
Saddam Hussein

JOB APPLICATION

NAME: John Kerry

RESIDENCE: 7 mansions, including one in Washington DC, worth multi-millions. I served in Vietnam (four months).

EXPERIENCE:Law Enforcement. In my career as a U.S. Senator, I've voted to cut every law enforcement, CIA, and Defense bill. I ordered the city of Boston to remove a fire hydrant in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire.
MILITARY: served in Vietnam (four months). I used three minor injuries to get an early discharge from the military and service in Vietnam (as documented by the attending doctor). I served in Vietnam (four months). I then returned to the U.S., joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers. I served in Vietnam (four months). I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My book "Vietnam Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier", shows how I truly feel about the military. I served in Vietnam (four months).
COLLEGE:I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:After College and Vietnam, I ran for the U.S. Congress and have been there ever since. I have no real world experience except marrying very rich women and running their companies vicariously through them.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: As a U.S. Senator I set the record for the most liberal voting record, exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against their budgets, thus gutting our country's ability to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted for every liberal piece of legislation. I have no plan to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected. I served in Vietnam (four months). My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I make little or no charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in Massachusetts, despite family wealth in excess of $ 700 million. I served in Vietnam (four months).
I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in places like Asia, Mexico and Europe. We can make more profit from the cheaper cost of labor in those Countries, although I blame George Bush for sending all of the other jobs out of Country. I served in Vietnam (four months).Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts. I served in Vietnam (four months).
RECORDS AND REFERENCES: None. However, I served in Vietnam (four months).
PERSONAL: I practice my Catholic faith whenever cameras are present. I ride a Serotta Bike. I love to ski/snowboard. I call my Gulfstream V Jet the "Flying Squirrel". I call my $850,000 42-foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scarmouche".I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and feel it reflects our real culture.I own several "Large" SUVs including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large, polluting, inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for our energy problems. I served in Vietnam (four months).

PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004.

GOOO CARDINALS!!!!! 2 DOWN 2 TO GO!!!! WORLD SERIES HERE THEY COME!!!! :o)

My best friend and I took a Photoshop class last night and I have to say I am pretty impressed with the program. My hubby uses the program all the time and I have seen what it can do and I have used tt to crop pictures but wanted to learn how to really PLAY with it. My hubby is not a good teacher, he is a do it for you type of person, and I am a HANDS ON type person :o) So Leah and I signed up for a class and last night was our first one. We finish it out next week. I think we are goin to have to sign up for the intermediate class too. Just getting this sample is not enough :o) Hubby bought a new camera yesterday so I will have to really learn how to play since the new camera is a lot more advanced than the one we have. We basically signed up for the class to help us with our scrapbooking techniques.. how sad is that??? LOL... oh, well. Its what we love. Nothing better than adding new techinques to what we love.
Tonite we are goin scrapbookin so that will be lots of fun. Us girls are goin out to dinner at Applebees first. Tomorrow we are goin to the Pumpkin patch with a bunch of friends. Then Sunday we are goin to take our daughter to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday party. FUN FUN weekend LOL.
My grandpa seems to be doin better. He is in the rehab center and seems to be doin good with his physical therapy. He does not like being in the center. Its more of a temp. nursing home and he hates that. He does not want to be in a place like that. They thought it was goin to be a week, then the doctors said a month and now they are down to 2 weeks. He also has a roommate and that is another thing he does not care for. Hopefully he will get out soon and be able to go home!!! They also said he would be on oxygen for the rest of his life. So it seems that he is just not goin to recover completely from everything. Which I hate to see happen to him.
Off to clean my house...have a good weekend all.. and remember ROOT FOR THE CARDINALS!!!!!! :o)

Campbells is doin their click for cans again HERE is the link. Vote for your fav team!!!!
CONGRATS TO THE CARDINALS!!!! 1 DOWN 3 TO GO!!!!!! GOOO CARDINALS!!!!

I watched some of the prez debate and I just plain got bored with it and turned it off. I had it TIVOed since the Baseball game was more important to me last night :o) But I did turn on the Debate this morning and its the same stuff over and over, Kerry just bitching about Bush and Bush conterdicting him and telling Kerry what a liar he is, which I already know. I am voting for Bush and that is all there is to it. I just hope that there are enough votes to get Bush to stay in office. My kids watched some of it with me this morning and my son asked me what was wrong with the BOOBS face.. told him too many botox injects for BOOB. Then of course there is the question as to WHY I call Kerry a BOOB. That was fun to explain to the kiddos :o) Should prolly not call Kerry that... but there is no better word for him lol. Even my dad calls Kerry a Boob. Which I think is awesome :o)

GOOOO CARDINALS!!!!!!! BEAT THOSE ASTROS!!
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, October 12, 2004

My weekend was incredible. Hubby and I had a date Friday night and had the best time. We finished shopping for my younger daughters bday. Plus got new clothes for me. Its been a while since I have shopped at Limited and Express and I really enjoyed it. Got some really cute things. Then Saturday we went down to Lost Valley for the day. Played sand volleyball and enjoyed the company of our friend John ahd his kiddos. We were goin to go on the hayride and bonfire that they had planned... BUT, it was booked so we had our own bonfire and toasted marshmallows, had smores and then took the kids to do a pumpkin hunt. It was in the softball field when it got dark and they had to search for their pumpkins by flashlight. Then Sunday we went to Grants Farm again... this time I got it right. It was neat to see Grants cabin and to see some of the civil war era stuff. Then of course was the RAMS GAME!!!! :o)
Now, that is something worth talkin abuot. LOVED seeing so much of Grant Wistrom. He really is an awesome guy, but I was definetely rooting for my RAMS!! They did an awesome job of coming back and winning the game in overtime. Bulger seems to be improving more and more each game. Becoming more and more sure of himself. Our Defense still needs improvement but I think they will do fine as the season goes on. And how about those CARDINALS???? WHOOHOOOO!!!!!!! WE ARE GOIN ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR!!!!! WATCH OUT HOUSTON!!!! :o) I would LOVE to see the Cardinals in the World Series!!! :o)
I TIVOed the presidential debate that happened here in St.Louis and have to say I really HATE Kerry. There just seems to be about EVERYTHING I am opposed to that that boob says. I do not agree with stem cell research, I am not pro-choice and dont see how he can be, with him being Catholic. Teresa... that is a whole other issue... that woman...there are so many MEAN things I want to say about her. She is NOT first lady material. She is all about herself and that is it. I do not even think she is about the Boob. Well, I will be watching tomorrow, but my mind will not be changed. Still voting for Bush!!!
My grandpa has been moved to a rehab center to get him up and walking again. They are putting him through intensive therapy to get him back up and around. They are also taking him to get dialysis. They are hopin that he will be home next week. OK, I am outta here. Just wanted to throw out a quick update. Hope everyone else is good!!!
SIs, love ya!!! Jen you are my PB QUeen!!!!! RIch, you suck, odie you do too!!! :o)

Friday, October 08, 2004

We were hoping that my grandpa would be out of the hospital by now... but no such luck. They did finally take out his tube from his chest cavity. So he is finally able to REST some... with NO tube sticking outta his back. His dialysis is going good. 4 hour treatments every other day or so. They have started him in intensive therapy to get him up and around again. It had been over a week since he had walked and so they got him up and around yesterday and will continue to do that for the next couple of days. Hoping he will go home on Monday now...
In other interesting family news.. my cousin that was in jail in Alabama is now out... not that I am happy about that, would have prefered they put her away for good and thrown the key away.. but no such luck. Dunno what is goin to happen to her, hopefully they put her ass BACK in jail and let her rot there. My other cousin, who is the military one, is getting MARRIED today. Which is a rather unexpected thing, but found out she was preggers and wanted to get married to her man... Not sure what that means for her military service. She is supposed to go to FL sometime this month. Oh, well.. CONGRATS MICHELLE and MALCOLM!!! I love you!!! :o) SHould be some interesting times around our family, especially with the holidays approaching fast....
My friend Chris, who was supposed to be leaving for Iraq sometime this month has now had his orders changed to go sometime in Jan. I am excited to hear this news. I am not looking forward to him goin to Iraq in the first place and will be sad when he does. But for now he is safe in Germany doin his job there.
Bush and the Boob ( aka Kerry) are here in Missouri for the debate tonite. I wish I could attend, it should be a good one. I have to say Bush is not the best public speaker but I love his deliberate way of talking and his no nonesense diarehea of the mouth that the BOOB tends to have... The Boob tends to just spit whatever is in his mout out and then change his mind about it in the same breath. The Boob iritates me to no end. BUT the Boob has managed to change my dads mind about voting for him... so for that I am thankful. My mom is voting for Bush too, which I think she is doing bcuz she listens to me bitch about the boob all the time and has finally realized that her daughter DOES know a thing or 2 :o)
There is a new JIBJAB for those of you that are interested. Its not as funny as the other Bush/Boob one that they have but is still worth a look!!!! Its called Good to be in DC.

Your Existing Situation
Pursues her objectives and her own-self-interest with stubborn determination; refuses to compromise or make concessions.
Your Stress Sources
Feels that life has far more to offer and that there are still important things to be achieved--that life must be experienced to the fullest. As a result, she pursues her objectives with a fierce intensity that will not let go of things. Becomes deeply involved and runs the risk of being unable to view things with sufficient objectivity, or calmly enough; is therefore in danger of becoming agitated and of exhausting her nervous energy. Cannot leave things alone and feels she can only be at peace when she has finally reached her goal.
Your Restrained Characteristics
Becomes distressed when her needs or desires are misunderstood and feels that she has no one to turn to or rely on. Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense.
Very exacting in the standards she applies to her choice of a partner and seeking a rather unrealistic perfection in her sex life.
Your Desired Objective
Desires a tranquil, peaceful state of harmony offering quiet contentment and a sense of belonging.
Your Actual Problem
Needs to achieve a stable and peaceful condition, enabling her to free herself of the worry that she may be prevented from achieving all the things she wants.

You can take the test too.....

Another update...things have been a little hectic. Grandpa had a couple of bad days. A couple of days ago they put in the tube to drain his lung again. Well, they did something wrong and they were recycling the fluid around his lung and that made his lung collapse. So they went in and put a BIG hose in to drain his lung. In the first hour of draining they drained a GALLON of liquid. And they still have the tube in 3 days later. They also went in and did a X-ray and he has a 2 inch hole in his lung that he did not have there before. So SOMETHING THEY DID caused a 2 inch hole in his lung. They also went in and put his pacemaker in and he has started dialysis. He has gone 3 times so far and they are goin to get it regulated for him to go for 4 hours at a time. Which does not make him very happy. He hates laying there for 4 hours on his back. He seems to be in good spirits so that makes it a little easier. He had a really bad couple of days. He did have a good day yesterday though. He had quite the list of guests too. My dad, brother and I were there, of course my grandma was, my aunt Kathy came up and at the end my other aunt and her husband came up.
Saturday was a kid haircut day. My youngest is NOT a happy camper when it comes to getting his hair cut... HE HATES IT. The other 3 are fine with it. That night my dad and brother came over to have dinner with us and then Sunday we got up early and went to Grants Farm. I had made a mistake.. I THOUGHT it was the civil war weekend at Grants Farm... but I WAS WRONG. SO, we will be going back NEXT Sunday. But that is ok, we had a great time. It was a gorgeous day, the kids had a blast and so did we. Next weekend they are opening Grants cabin and have civil war reenactors there. My hubby is a HUGE civil war fan so this is something he is really lookin forward to.
In sports news... The Cardinals season is over with they are rallying today, the Astros got the wild card spot beating out the Cubs and the Giants. The RAMS WON!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! They had a GREAT game last night. The first half they were winning 24-0 and then went on to win the game 24-14. Bulger is becoming more and more sure of himself and not making mistakes and our Defense actually did its joblast night. Including 2 interceptions and our special teams actually STOPPED the 49ers when we kicked the ball off to them. It looked like the Rams I love and adore!!! :o)
Ok, that is my updat for now. I will try and get a few pictures up from Grants Farm. Oh, and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!! She is 80 today. And also a Happy Birthday to my hubbies mom.

Tuesday, September 28, 2004

Thanks Laura. I hope that hurricane Jeanne was nice to you!!!! Ready to move yet? :o)
Now for the update... my grandpa seems to be doin ok. They put the catheders in for dialysis, its in his neck area. Well they did that on Thursday of last week. He went down for his first dialysis treatment on Friday and his doctor shows up and says hang on dont do anything yet. He was hooked up to the machine just waiting for his doctor to show up. His doctor comes over to him and says to the nurse unhook him HE IS NOT GOIN TO DO DIALYSIS YET. His doctor said that his kidneys are functioning well enough that they do not want to start dialysis yet. On one hand I am thankful that they have not started it, once you go on dialysis you never come off. So as far as that goes I am thankful.. BUT on the other hand... they said he had COMPLETE kidney failure *he gained 15 lbs of water weight in ONE day* So they completely stressed everyone out and now they are not even doin it. Then yesterday he was having a really bad day and slept most of it and is really really tired. Then the doctor tells the NURSE to tell my grandpa that they are goin to put in a pacemaker for his heart... ok, we all know he has a bad heart... BUT this is NEW. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING??? This is the first we have ever heard about this and then the freakin doctor has the NURSE tell him???? I have to say I am not a happy camper. It is a minor surgery and can be done with a local but STILL, HELLO!!!! They are also goin to go in and drain fluid off his lung today. So we will see how everything pans out. I hate seeing my grandpa this way and just want him back to the way he was. My happy, everything is ok, STRONG grandpa, and I know that that will not ever happen and I hate it.
Other things are goin well. My dads business 1st yr anniv. is tomorrow. So we are all goin out to celebrate on Thursday. I had a great time at the 12 hour crop on Saturday. I got 13 pages done. Some for my grandparents album and some in my own. Then on Sunday I did 5 more for my grandparents album and watched the CRAPPY football game. Then over to my parents for my birthday dinner :o) I got a gift certificate for a scrapbook store from my parents and another one from my best friend!!! YEAH!!! SCRAPBOOK SHOPPING HERE I COME!!!! :o) My hubby bought me my Pooh canisters from the disney store I have been wanting and a few other things.
Well, I dunno what to do about my other BLOGGERS... Rich has a woman now and does not have TIME for the lil ppl in his life. Odie is busy with work... though he does come and READ the blog :o) Jen... not sure what Jen is up to. Her baby is keepin her on her toes... and now that Laura has been hit with yet ANOTHER hurricane she is goin through CLEAN UP.

I get a call last night at 10:30, which is unusual, especially from my parents, my dad has this thing about calling after 9 and does not do it. So when he called ten thirty last night I knew it was either my brother wanting something or it was bad news... well it was the bad news. My grandpa fell down 2 days ago and my aunt took him to the doctor and he had gained 15 lbs in one day...his kidneys have completely shut down. So that leaves one last option, dialysis. Which is something that my grandpa wanted to avoid as much as possible, and now it is a MUST. He has gone to the hospital this morning and should be about to go into surgery. Then this afternoon will be his first dialysis treatment. Then it will be 2-3 times a week. I am extremely worried and quite scared. My grandpa has not been in good health and it is rapidly deteriorating. He has been it the hospital twice in the last 3 weeks and has stayed in for about a week a piece. The first time was for water weight and they drained 1500 cc's of liquid off his lung and the second time was for a lung infection. Now, a week later he is back again for surgery. This time something that will be life changing and the final step in taking care of this problem. Well, I am off to the hospital to be with him. If you are a praying person I would greatly appreciate your prayers. He means the world to me and I hate to see him in this state. I will update as soon as I know something!

OK, I know I do not have one of these... but this is too funny!!!!

Your Penis Name is: Beefy McManstick

Your Boobies' Names Are: The Bazoombas

I sent out an Email that was a joke the other day that made fun of John Kerry. I get a response from a cousin of my husbands asking me WHY I support President Bush and he would love to hear the reasons why. I normally only get into political debates with my parents and grandparents about it. Since I know that they are accepting of my choice, just like to debate the fact with no feelings hurt and most of the time is all in fun. BUT, I feel I have to be cautious around my husbands family, especially this cousin becuz if his different beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I love him dearly and he is my favorite out of my hubbies family, but sometimes it is just not a comfortable situation, especially through Email since things can be interpretted entirely different then was meant to be said.
Well, I decided to Email him the facts that I had and stick to "SAFE" issues. I am Pro-life, Bush is Pro-life. My reasons are my own and I do not look down on others that do choose to have an abortion, it is something that they have to live with the rest of their lives, my own personal prefrence was to HAVE my babies and the thought of abortion makes me sick. Bush is a believer in God, and he seeks God's council before making decisions. This I heard first hand from someone that I know that works for Bush and MEETS with Bush and is a Christian also. I respect that aspect and think that it is awesome that Bush does pray. I think this world could use a lot more of it!!!! This I did not add to the Email... but something that I am proud of Bush on... ban on gay marriage. I don't think that is the way God intended and I stick by that. I did not add that bcuz my hubbies cousin is gay and supports gay marriages and I beleive has become ordained so that he can marry gays. I love him for who he is, him being gay has no impact on the way I feel for him. I adore him and am glad that he is standing up for what he believes in... I am just doing the same. But did not want that battle with him so I left it out of my EMail. I also like his No Child Left Behind program. I think that so many of our children are lackin in educational skills that it is very scary. To the size of our classrooms to the way kids treat their teachers and teachers not being able to even speak their own minds without getting fired to teachers not even caring. It is something that needs to be taken care of. Every child needs an education and needs to TREAT and be treated with respect. I also agree with the war in Iraq, despite the weapons of mass destruction I think we CAUGHT THE BIGGEST WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Saddam NEEDED to be taken out and he WAS. There is sooo much that the news does NOT report when it comes to Iraq that it does get discouraging, but hearing from friends that ARE IN IRAQ FIGHTING I hear DIFFERENT stories of how much they are improving the lives of Iraqis. Nice to know that our news is sooo unbiased that they LEAVE that info OUT! *sarcasm* I am glad that Bush is not some wishy washy piece of shit that backtracks when he finds out that not everyone agrees, not like Kerry... who will say something in one breathe and then get word that someone did not like that and in the same breathe change his story. Ok, I am goin to get OFF my soap box for a bit. Just had to say my piece on politics!! :o) I do have one last statement.....

JOHN KERRY IS A BOOB!!!!!!!!!!

THE sign in my yard!!! Yes, I am a geek, and yes I am very proud of my sign!!! :o) Posted by Hello

Sunday, September 19, 2004

This is an Email Laura sent... I am surprised she sent it since she does not care anything about political stuff.... but all the same... its funny so I thought I would share with all!!!!

On a recent campaign trip through Wisconsin Senator John Kerry visited the City of Green Bay. He met with the elders of the Oneida Nation. He said he had a plan to improve the income of every Native American by $40,000.00 a year. Details of the plan were not presented despite frequent requests to do so.
.
Senator Kerry also informed the elders that, during his senate career, he voted yes 9,537 times for every Native American issue introduced.
.
Senator Kerry was adopted as a member of the Oneida Nation and given the name Walking Eagle.
.
After the senator left, one of the elders was asked the significance of the name Walking Eagle.
.
His response---" Bird so full of shit it can't fly "

My hubby likes this really weird song called Cows with Guns. He heard it a couple of years ago while we were living in Houston. My brother calls me today and says that he found a video to go with this incredibly silly song on albinobacksheep. So I thought that I would share this silly video to those that would like to see something stupid. Have a great day!!!
Well, my girlfriend and I did NOT go down to Alabama... a hurricane named Ivan blew our plans outta the water... the freakin place we were goin to go to and that is where it hit the hardest... GEE THANKS FOR THE PRESENT IVAN!!!! But that is ok. I got to spend it with my hubby and kids. A friend of ours invited us to go to the balloon glow at Forest Park. So we took the kids and met up with them at the park and watched the hot air balloons. It was really neat, the kids really enjoyed it. Then afterwards we went the Ted Drewes for some AWESOME ice cream. They have the absolute BEST ice cream. Here are the pics from the balloon glow. Tonite I get to be the designated driver for a bacholerette party... THAT should be interesting :o) 14 drunk ladies, and me. I will get pics of tonite too. Today was the Rams first football game and HUBBY AND I WERE THERE!!! YEAH!!!!! Hubby has a PSL through Lan, a friend of his, and Lan also has one. So whenever he gets to sit with some other friends of ours he does that and gives us his ticket so that I can go or someone else that hubby wants to take. So my dad and brother got the pleasure of watching the rugrats while hubby and I went tailgating and to the season opener for the ST.LOUIS RAMS!!!!! It was not that exciting of a game, I mean come on... we BARELY won against the Arizona Cardinals... BUT... the company was great... SAME ppl in the area we sit... so that makes it awesome. There are a lot of great ppl in that section and they are all really nice and NOT too obnoxious. And we got to tailgate with Rick, Chip and Patty Stockell, Lan, Brian, a friend of Brians that was here from FL... He decided to fly in and get WAY away from the hurricane this time, Bruce and a few others that hubby used to work with at Stockell. They are all great ppl and are a lot of fun to be with. They do tailgating every home game and always have a GREAT set up. BBQ, drinking and the whole works.
The game was not all that exciting, but we WON!!!! So that is all that matters!!!! I just hope that it is not goin to be another Jeff Wilkins year. I do not mean that in a bad way. He is a great guy and I really like him he does an EXCELLENT job on getting that ball betweeon the posts.. BUT I hope that we do not have to depend on him to win every game for us this year!!! I hope that our Defense and Offense can get their act together and WIN it BIG this year... After all, this is their 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!! We got neat baseball hats at the baseball game today that have the Rams 10 year Anniversary on them. Just one more thing to say about the Rams... GOOOOO RAMS!!!!!! :o)

I would like you all to meet Rona (short for Verona) she was so sad because she had to be left home while we were away. She is laying in some fallen debris out by the oak that come down Posted by Hello

another of my poor trees i lost Posted by Hello

My wonderful oak tree that come down, TY Frances  Posted by Hello

This is why I had no electricty! Posted by Hello

This is omi (Naomi) with santa, she wuves him!! Posted by Hello
YaY i finally got my electricity back on!!!!!!!!!!Its so nice to be able to come home. I have alot to tell so hope you got a bit of time cause im gonna write a mini story. My mini hell started on Friday with frances moving in. It rained most of the day and had some lightning, overall wasnt too bad. By Saturday at 2pm all hell had broken loose and we lost power. Sitting in a dark house with kids wasnt exactly my kind of fun, but we didnt have much choice so we made the best of it. We read books, colored and played games. Then it gets dark, the kids get scared because not only is it dark outside its dark inside (we did have candles but they dont help much). It got dark around 7 because of the storm so it was too early for bed. Thats when my sanity started slipping. I finally got the kids to sleep around 9:30. We all woke up throughout the night, it was horrible! By daylight we were all awake. I had trees down all over my yard, BLAH! BIG BLAH!!!! Sunday was about the same as Saturday. By Monday we were going NUTS!! The kids wanted to watch TV , play the ps2 or go outside...something, anything besides color. Then we recieved a blessed phone call.... my mom had electricity again around 7 pm. So we all loaded up and headed to grandmas. You can imagine 3 days and no water or electricity we were getting kinda smelly and were thankful to get a shower. :) We stayed at my moms on Monday and were soooooooooo crowded! Tuesday my sister got her electricity back and had more room there so we all packed up and headed there. Well my sister being the nice person she is also invites others that have no electricty. So it became crowded there as well, but we had electricity and water so we were happy. 6 adults and 9 kids. Bigger than the Brady Bunch! I finally got electricity back and was able to come home today...unfortunately (remember im blonde) i forgot to shut off the water pump when i left. When i had come home it had lost all pressure from lack of water and now the water pump has burnt up! Grrrrrr.....did i really need this? The kids went to thier dads for the weekend so i wont need as much water but unfortunately I cant stay home because i need water :( So back to my sisters I will go. I am going to add some pics, so you can see my fallen trees. Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts during Frances. We love ya'll
Now i have to tell you about this other "thing". Ebay. There is a fella on there names Chris, funny funny guy, made me laugh til i cried and after Frances we needed something to laugh at. I am putting his link here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&category=1469&item=5519722996&rd=1..... i think that will work. You HAVE to read this. His first auction was cancelled due to his langauge so he revised it and now its back up. He is selling a pint of hurricane water, a shingle from his roof and a papaya that come from a tree that landed in his pond from who knows where. Last I checked the bid was up to $103.19 and all proceeds are going to charity. His story is very humorous.
ok next item....
Sis....YAY you got to see the Blue Angels!!!!!!!!! I got to see them too when they were in Jacksonville..... they are GREAT! LL .....omi says to tell you make sure her boyfriend knows he has to give her flowers, gum and teddy bears. (HUGS ARE NOT BETTER THAN FLOWERS ANDY!!!) and she wants him to open her car door when she rides with mommy. I dont think that is asking to much. Odie..my sweet and kind friend *lies* :P I MISS YOU!!!!!!!! and sis who is this Rich guy you are talking about?? I used to know a guy named Rich, what a great guy *lies again* but he never seems to be around anymore!!!!! *hint hint*
OK know my fingers are getting sore and I need to get going to my sisters so im gonna end this mini story and head to my sisters.........LOVE YALL
Laura survived the hurricane... has a tree down in her yard and the power is out... but overall they are all fine!! YEAH!! :o) Of course now Ivan threatens to come there... and I have just a few words for Ivan... GO AWAY!!!!!!!
My girlfriend Bev calls me and says LETS GO TO ALABAMA!!! Her friend Mike moved down there last week and she wants to go... so next week... HER AND I ARE GOIN ON A ROAD TRIP!!! YEAH!!!!!! 2 girls chillin in Alabama!! YEAH!!!! We have not decided on what day we are leavin yet... but it will either be sometime on Wednesday or Thursday and we will be back home on Saturday. I am sooo excited!!!!! I have not gone anywhere with anyone that has not been my hubby or my family... so this will be WONDERFUL!!! I am even goin to be GONE for my BIRTHDAY!!! Which is ok, yet not ok :o) I will miss being with my family, my kids and hubby... but on the other hand... I will be RELAXING!!!!! Bev is a lifelong friend and I love spending time with her. She is a lot of fun and we always have a great time together... so it will be a GREAT trip!!! Ok, well, I am off th finish reading my new book..Trace, by Patricia Cornwell, the newest in her Scarpetta series.
Oh and one last note... my grandpa is home from the hospital. He went in last Wed. for water weight and had to have his right lung drained of fluids. But he is home and doin much better!! Love you Grandpa!!!

I added one pic of Victoria with the pilot... here is the link to the other pics I took. I am not goin to add it on the side bar... just goin to have it here :o)
I hope that everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Laura is doin ok. Their family survived the hurricane... THANK GOD!!! :o) Friday was the day we went up to the Fair grounds to see the Blue Angels practice... it was AWESOME. The fair did not open til 5 that evening and we got there at 1:30 to watch the Blue Angels. We also got to see the F-18 and the P-52 ( I think that is what it is called) and watch the 2 of them do the heritage flight. Then of course the Blue Angels. And right as we were leaving the Blackhawks were taking off and landing. So we got to see that as we were getting into the car :o) We had a GREAT time with Chelle and the girls.
Saturday was our PAINTING day. We got most of the painting done in the hallway. There are a few areas we need to touch up on but mostly it is done. There are just a few touch up spots in the living room but that is mostly done too :o) I am SOOO excited!!! We have also looked at paint for the kitchen. That will be the next project!! I also went up to the hospital to visit my grandpa. He gained a lot of water weight again, so they put him back in the hospital on Wednesday to regulate it again. He is down to 1200 CC's of any liquid. So he is pretty upset about that. It leaves him thirsty most of the time. But all in all he is in good spirits and happy. Ready to go home.
Oh, and hubby and I got to go out on a date!!! YEAH!!! We went to "The Hill" for dinner, an AWESOME area for Italian food. We sat out on the patio and had a nice relaxing dinner and watched the ball game. Then we went to Home Goods store and bought another picture and shelf for the living room. That was about the extent of our date. Relaxing and quiet.
Then on Sunday we went to Aquaport, an AWESOME water park. It has a great kids area and great areas for the bigger kids. Kris, her hubby and the kiddos met us there. We all had a wonderful time. ( I did not bring the camera so I do not have any pics) Then today was clean up day. Laundry etc. Fun Fun. I hope that everyone else had a great weekend!!!!

Victoria and a Blue Angel Pilot Posted by Hello

Friday, September 03, 2004

I blogged last night and did not even get around to writing what I wanted to write... (I swear sometimes I am blonde, sorry sis) I talked to my ex (my sons biodad) some time back... he told me that he was goin through another divorce (his second in 2-3 yrs) I understand the reasoning of his divorce from this wife... but man oh man... and to top it off he has a new girlfriend and she is preggers. Unbelievable. Him and I stay in contact on a regular basis, I ask this of him bcuz if anything were to happen to my son (his son) then I would like to be able to contact him. So its great to talk to him whenever we do, which is not often. I have no ill will for the man. He is my sons biodad and we have always had a good talking relationship. We were friends for a long time before we were together and have managed to stay in contact in the 10 yrs since that. Wow, 10 yrs... that is a LONG time, Ok, I am startin to feel OLD. Anyways. So I talked to him via messenger and then I get an IM from his current girlfriend (the one that is preggers with his newest kid) that says I need to leave him alone... hmmmm ok... well this pisses me off. I do not talk to the man often and when I do we are cordial and ask how we are doin, he asks how my son is, we talk about life a little and that is about it... so to get an IM from the newest skank rather pisses me off. I do not ask alot of my ex. He has NEVER paid a penny for my son in his 9 1/2 yrs and all I ask is that I can have contact with him, just in case. Then to have his freakin girlfriend IM me and tell me that I better quit talkin to him OR ELSE and that there is no reason to talk TIL A PATERNITY TEST IS PROVEN... ok.. now THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF. He KNOWS that it is his son and does NOT ever deny it to me. He has ALWAYS known it was his son. so needless to say I went off on his skank and told her that I could make life HELL for him if I wanted to, but choose to be NICE about the whole thing. I have NEVER gone after him for child support (and mind you, I was 17 when I had my son) I have ALWAYS taken care of EVERYTHING for my son and if I wanted to screw things up for my ex I would have done it YEARS ago. BUT, I just prefer to keep things just the way they are. Sure there have been times that I could have used the money, but my son has never gone without anything. And for his newest girlfriend to start shit REALLY pisses me off. Oh, and I talk to my ex about this little episode with his girlfriend and his response is... dont worry about it, she is Irish and hot tempered and is hormonal from her pregnancy... my response... I am Korean and can get a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT HOTTER and NOT to f*ck with me. :o) Oh, well... its all done and over with.
Well, I have to go get ready to go... I AM SOOO EXCITED about seeing the Blue Angels... and oh yeah, the KIDS are too :o) Have a great day everyone... and HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL LABOR DAY WEEKEND... and Laura... STAY SAFE!!! :o)

OK, so I am browsing the internet while my hubby works and decide to stroll over to the playboy website (yes, i am strange) and I read the cover story "Wild In Washington" The BLOG word caught my eye so I thought I would read the story... come to find out she blogs about her sexcipades she has with these various men in DC...Oh, and she is a Korean-American, like myself... Well, I got curious and did a little research on the blog and found the archives... for those of you interested here is the blog. I read the entries and have to say that she sounds like a WHORE. Its one thing to be a slut.... its a completely other thing to get PAID to have sex. I also found a washington post article about her and thought I would add that too. Well, that is my research for the evening... I will try and write some more tomorrow. Our church members with children were invited by the St.Louis Fair and Air show to come watch the Blue Angels do test flights and to MEET THE PILOTS!!!! So, I am goin to meet my girlfriend Chelle for lunch at McDs with the kiddos and then we are goin to go watch the BLUE ANGELS!!! I am SOOOO Excited... I LOVE the Blue Angels!!!!! It should be a GREAT time :o) I plan on taking pics so I will add them as soon as I can.
Laura, stay safe sweetie!!!!! Keep in touch so that I know that you are ok!!! Take care of you and the kiddos!!!! Jen, it was great talkin to you today, as always!!! :o) As for you, Rich... you anti-social butt... great conversation with you too!!! :o) And odie... REMEMBER... I AM PERFECT... so the 3 times I gave the pile... were YOUR fault!!!! :o) OK. Talk to you all tomorrow... I am goin to spend time with my hubby!!! Love ya all!
Howdy yall..... this be my last time online for a little bit so i thought id blog while i had some down time. We have bad Frances coming to visit as you all know. Go away Frances is posted on all the boarded up windows throughout town. The kids and I went down to the river tonight and it was nice getting some fresh air. Back to back traffic going north out of town put a damper on things though. LL....i told omi that Tristan calls her that and she giggled, and asked when she gets to see him, i told her the famous "we will see", so she wandered away with her lil head down saying she will never get to see her husband it was toooooooooo cute. Bren ill be calling ya throughout the hurricane to keep ya up to date but i doubt i will make it up there, the drive is just too far for now. But me still loves ya! Im outta here to put the kiddos to bed, then gotta finish getting things to go, its so hard deciding what to take :(

HI!!
I'm alive lol. Just been really busy lately with the kids. Aspen got her 4 mth check up on the 30th, I am still sobbing over the needles. But, great news, she is totally healthy YAY. Doc said he was shocked that she was noticing strangers already, Aspen took one look at the nurse and howled, thats our girl lol. Then when the doc tried to take a look at her, she tensed up and was screaming like the world was ending. Poor Andy, not used to seeing his baby girl cry, I thought he was gonna start bawling too haha.
Tristan hasnt gotten into anymore trouble lately.. mind u, I have put up anything that he might want to stick into his hair. The kids are sure starting to enjoy each others company, meaning mommy and daddy are getting more time to ourselves... dont worry, we spending it out of the bedroom lolol. NO MORE BABIES!!

OK, so I have not been mentioning the Rams very much... being that it is only preseason and the Rams have not started off very good.... Well last night they WHOOPED the Washington Redskins 28-3. I did not see the game (I was scrapbooking) but from what I understand it was a great game. But I hope that they keep this up!! I know its only preseason, I know we are taking it easy, but the first 2 games were not very promising. I hope that last night showed good faith to how their 10th year here will be :o)

Life has been GRAND :o) Hubby is great, his business is GREAT, things are really looking up. I am sooo proud of hubby for starting his own business, for sticking to it and for being so good at what he does!! He got a call from someone in TX. They want him to submit a bid for a 1.6 MILLION dollar contract. Its for NASA and is a 2 yr contract. They are only allowing 5 companies to submit bids and my hubbies is one of the 5!!!! We still stay in touch with quite a few ppl in TX and he has a friend that also owns a business ( he used to work for them) and they do not do my hubbies area of work so they suggested to NASA that they contact my hubby and THEY DID and told him he was one of the 5 companies that they have chosen for the bid!! Of course he will not be able to do anything for a few months since NASAs fiscal yr does not start til October so he has some time to work on his proposal... but the FACT THAT HE IS ABLE TO DO IT IS AWESOME!!!! Even if he does not win the proposal he is happy as a clam!! So am I! :o) And actually I would not mind living in TX again :o) I love it there and to move back for a couple of years would be awesome. I do love it here in MO too though... dont get me wrong. It is wonderful to be home :o) Anyways, we are not holding our breath, but the contact was wonderful and I am so very proud of my hubby.
Other than that life is grand, kids are great, family is doing good. My cousin has been recalled to duty. She is goin to Florida. The commander there called her and said that she is being transfered there and that she has been recalled. She seems to be ok with it. Her boyfriend was supposed to get out soon too and they are not goin to release him either. He will stay in Colorado though. Other than that No news is good news.... :o)

I talked to Kris this morning... I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SWEETIE!!!! Get better so we can go to AQUAPORT this weekend!!! :o) All our kids had such a good time they are ready for MORE!! Sooo... that means YOU have to get better!! :o) Love ya, hun!!!
