Things have been so very hectic!!! Hubby got home early last Friday and since there were 2 kids that spent the night the night before it was a little hectic. I ended up taking one of the kids with me and had to pick up my baby girl from her grandma's since she had spent the night with her and still had her. Overall, it was awesome to have hubby home early.
Saturday we decided to take a family trip, we really did not have a plan in mind, but drove, we were going to go to Springfield, IL to see Lincoln's new library and his house there but we wanted more time so we decided against that and went west. We ended up at Maramec Springs. It is where the Meramec River starts. It is absolutely gorgeous there and we had a lot of fun. It is also a Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout farm. The water is just beautiful, so clear and soo blue. You can feed the fish and the kids had a blast doing that. It was just a beautiful day to be out and about and enjoy it with the kids. I will add a couple pictures of the place since it is so beautiful.
Sunday was Father's Day and we really did not do too much. Just stayed around the house and then out to dinner with my grandma that night. Her cancer is growing and is taking all the nutrients that she needs so she is steadily losing weight. She is down to 111 lbs and losing, despite what she eats and does it will just continue to eat away at her.
Tomorrow is the Rascal Flatts concert that we are going to. My parents are keeping the kids overnight (WHOOHOOO!!!). They also want them early on Saturday so that they can take them swimming, so I get almost a whole day without them!!! :o) We are going to meet up with some friends that are also going to the concert and have dinner before hand. Then Sunday will be spent with grandma.
My cousin gets into town next Wednesday!! I am really excited about that since I have not seen her in a few months. I think it is just her and her baby girl since her hubby cannot get the leave that he requested. She will be here til the 4th and has to leave that day. So we will get together before she has to go. Then the following weekend is my baby boys 4th birthday. I cannot believe he is going to be 4!!! :o(
